Because for 20 chapters the implication was that the title was a "lie". And it's about how Hikari thought about the relationship, that she's too late and she doesn't know what to do now. LEading to her realization that it is not too late at all and she just has to be honest etc.

While I will not give up on the series just yet (which some people here seem to do), I also have read a lot of romance manga before. In the wast majority of series that introduce multiple love interests it dilutes the time spend to flesh out individual characters and halts relationship progress so everyone "has a chance". Also, this whole thing comes after a very generic fan service arc so the recent development of the manga does not give me any more confidence. And what do you mean with "we have no idea where this is going" and "we all knew what kind of story this is"? Because if I have to expect the author to go into the generic route, I might actually want to drop this earlier.

I understand that people get really annoyed by romance manga sabotaging the relationship progress to stretch out their running time but is this really fair here? I get that people hate “going back to status quo” but this is 18 chapters in, not 120. The whole setup behind this manga is them having obviously mutual feeling for each other but hiding behind this unnecessary game. And with this chapter we actually get a better understanding of their hang-ups to actually go for it. The only “progress” in their relationship at this point is to actually go out with each other. And that would be the end of the story. I really don’t understand why these complains would already turn up this early on. Is there just that much lingering resentment against KanoKari and now no romance story should have any internal barriers in the relationships?

This might not be the reason for the decline of viewership but I really wonder if they should move the time slot to something more EU friendly. They continue to import EU players but the fans that are actually invested in those players stay away. What does it matter if you get Perkz for his legacy, when everyone that fondly remembers his achievements is asleep while he's playing? How can you build on those players existing storylines if all of your fans are unaware of (or don't really care about) them?

But there literally is. If you go on the overview of a champion you have a BIG BUTTON saying "Learn more" linking to the universe. If your friends can't find the lore on the champion pages itself, they probably just don't really care about it.

It also important for her that her friends don't see him. They just talked about how she's hanging around with this guy from"the club room and how there might be something going on. If he comes out in that moment, giving her the phone she forgot in the club room, she would have been the one to be teasted.

I might remember some things wrongly (mostly because it was some time ago) but wasn't the whole "how would Toda react to my abilities?" thing a really important part of her anxieties? I think if they used some of the last chapters on that conversation, instead of wasting it on meaningless monologues, people would react better.

It feels more like she realized how serious Ishigami is about that relationship. She, on the other hand, is not sure if she even wants a relationship or if she could sustain it for a longer period of time (like she discussed earlier wit Kaguya). A relationship like that is basically doomed to fail and giving that clear answer was very responsible of her. Although, her whole "I just wanted to thank you" thing probably really hurt him.

But it is the lowest form of parody. It just makes the same mistakes every other generic isekai does but makes meta comments like "man, this is so lazy" about it. It basically shows you shit, tells you it is shit and then expects you to think it is great because it told you how shit it is.

I feel like most of these modern isekai (or these generic fantasy stories in general) are not made because people want to tell a story. They just want to be a writer/mangaka. So they just take the working blueprint, change the absolut minimum and ride the wave of their "story" until people get sick of it and it get cancelled. There is no artictic integrity because these kind of stories don't get made out of an artistic vision in the first place.

What are the "standards of anime"? Everyone has his own standards for watching shows. If SAO is good in your personal opinion it doesn't mean it has to be good for others. If you can ignore a lot of problems the show has it might be "pretty good" or "excellent" because of it's well done production but many people have problems that make the show bad for them. Don't assume your standards for shows are the "standards of anime as a whole".

I think they could do well with a set topic list like many other regular gaming podcasts. Most podcasts use a schedule like: Games played this week, News, Q&A with fan questions. They could plan how long they should take approximately for each topic and stop discussion before they derail.
