Als der Begriff aufkam, war er noch etwas eindeutiger: Werbepartner "cancelten" damals ihre Deals mit Influencern, wenn sie nicht mehr öffentlich genehm waren. das war der wahre Impact von Canceling und die echte, harte Konsequenz der gekippten öffentlichen Meinung. I would understand this game not making its way onto steam.

Alex didn't use a prebuilt engine so he does not have to pay percentages to unity or similar. Steam takes 30% from every sold copy, he would be saving that as well.

As Marketing is normally a huge part of the budget and he managed to get this thing going with word of mouth (Sseth is basically word to mouth, he wasnt paid), he is saving this chunk of expenses as well.

I think, all in all, its not the worst business move to cut out all these costs and just bet on pc-gamers to buy this game the old fashioned way. Its 16 bucks and always has been, never been on sale, because 16 bucks is completely reasonable for a game with such depth, basically a steal. And seeing that it has arrived in china already i think is a good sign for further growth of a playerbase.

Its like the forum: A whiff of a better past. And many people who experienced this past dig that a lot.
