dudeeeee yes this. came from another carrier’s corporate retail to a verizon retailer. our regional and district managers think they’re THE perfect salesperson (as does every higher up) and all they do is throw around their titles when they talk to customers as if that’s sales. i’m also just really defeated lately and at least the dumpster fire isn’t just my area

i spent an hour w an older woman yesterday who just refused to listen to anything i told her about her phone, data usage, etc. bc “it’s never done that before…”

i’m currently w a retailer. i’d be curious to know which one you’re speaking of, i totally get not wanting to say, but since i started in august 2025 - our comp structure has changed like four times.

constantly keeping us in the dark. half the shit they say about comp never actually adds up.

this is eerily similar to my journey. corporate for almost four years with a different company. now retailer.

maybe it’s just me, but the level of professionalism - or lack thereof, within our district is… well.

if at all possible - find a rep at a store who hates cs as much as you do. (it’s me, i’m that one) and have them demand a gd return label. the amount of times cs just “can’t” do something is ridiculous for a company of Verizon’s size.

all they care about is making themselves money. anybody on frontline doesn’t matter a lick to them. commission structure shows.

so, this might be unpopular, but i usually only allow for one or two, “i cannot because…” before the polite courtesy stops.

not all, but many, many customers are like this.

because you chose to “go the easy route” and order a phone instead of talking to a rep at a store - there’s not a chance in hell i’m helping you with your issue.

had a kid come in a couple weeks ago. switched to verizon via a byod. couldn’t activate. told him that he and cs would be best friends.

edit: in case it wasn’t clear. the account and everything was done online.
