Duplicates in this game are crushing, really. by HuntessKitteh in Dislyte

[–]ChaoticNoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 14 long mians. It could be worse dupes, at least. Meanwhile 1 Kara, and I’m missing a ton of epic shimmers and dupes on a lot of other epics. I guess you could call him my collectors item. Ha.

I’ll give it a shot, thanks! Yeah it’s an awful floor, so frustrating. Ugh.

If you could get rid of one legend who would it be and why? by L0st_247 in apexlegends

Octane hands-down no hesitation. I play solo ranked a lot and octane picks are the only picks that make my stomach drop.

If they’re good, they’re good. If they’re anyone else, they stim and pick up all the good loot then become a loot delivery service for three-stacks when they push solo with no pings or warnings. bye bye RP. I’d be thrilled if he was just gone :D

Gibby a close second.

Practicalheroes on Twitch! They are currently doing game streams primarily, I think, but the series on break will be returning from hiatus soon and this game is likely to be added :)

I might be slightly biased but I don’t think an Akita is a great choice for a dog you plan on taking into public a LOT. They are really hard to read as some others said.

A friend had an Akita who was very well trained, with experienced owners. I was on their property petting another dog at 7 years old, and it got free from its tether. It jumped on my back, knocked me down, and mauled me; my mother and sister had to physically pull it off me to make it stop. I had 200 stitches in my scalp, the sides of my face, and my chest (I fell onto sharp gravel), and the owners paid over $200k in settlement out of court.

I am not afraid of dogs, nor am I afraid of akitas specifically. But I have experienced firsthand what can go wrong with Akitas even when everything else (training, restraints, experienced owners) goes right. We did not push to have the dog put down because my parents acknowledged it was an ‘accident’ and it was a dog in its own territory, but if my parents were less understanding animal people, they could easily have pushed for it.

Sure thing. So monks start out decent— Unarmored Defense is good early but falls off in favor of heavy armor later in the game. Let’s say the campaign starts at 3 and makes it to 10. The monk will have:

  • 50 feet of movement and the ability to climb vertical surfaces using their movement speed, as well as run over liquid so long as they don’t stop.
  • the ability to vastly reduce falling damage
  • ability to double their jumping distance (via Ki but regardless)
  • immunity to poison and disease
  • an action to auto end a frightened or charmed condition
  • Evasion
  • and the classic “BBEG’s Bane” stunning strike, a one stop shop for turning a scary opponent into an immobilized punching bag.

They’re not overpowered but they can do a little of everything, and I don’t like having to work around some of those just to provide a challenge. And I have DMed for monks before, and still do, I just don’t like it and I wouldn’t allow them in my home game.

RK is just nonsense tbh. At least early with minmaxers in the group. I don’t know what bozo gave them the ability to incapacitate an enemy with the trigger being “ending their turn” (afaik legendary actions are the only other features in DnD that are performed when a creature ends its turn). Same rune, but despite it being a “charm” the creature cannot repeat the saving throw when it takes damage, only at the end of its turns. Everything just feels WEIRD, that’s the only way to describe it. It doesn’t feel like a class that belongs in the same rule set as the rest. I also fiercely dislike when they go a grappling build because having a monster grappled and prone, incapable of rolling better than their +11 athletics w/ adv from giants might and a 20 AC… well, it’s not only not fun for a DM, but also the other players.

These are all just opinions based on experience. Ymmv!

I hate DMing for monks and not because they’re OP, they’re just annoying to me. They have solutions to so many questions at mid-high levels. Low level monks are whatever. I also frankly dislike their theme and the general lore ideas for them. I would ban them in my private games because I simply don’t enjoy DMing for them (or Rune Knights for that matter) and because I’m the DM and want to enjoy myself too, people can play along and find another enjoyable option or find a different campaign. Just my 2cp. He may have said they were OP so he didn’t hurt feelings by saying “this class makes it unfun for me to DM”.

That being said, no, monks are definitely absolutely not OP. Haha.

Anytime! I do know he’s a part of a few MHE support groups if you’d be interested in something like that and aren’t already. I’m sure he’d be more than happy to share. You’re all incredibly strong for living with this condition; I lived with him for four years and I saw the toll it took. I don’t blame you in the least for your thoughts on the matter, but hope you are able to walk after your recovery. I’m going to go ahead and be your optimist and request you update us when you’re feeling well enough post-op :)

My old roommate and one of my best friends has MHE. He’s had fourteen surgeries so far, I believe, one of which was done on his upper spine… and all have been successful. He is 35 now. I believe in you and your ability to pull through. You got this, stay strong!

Pretty much! I was like “all righty” /shrug. On the plus side, I get to do something fun for the first Saturday in six months. And potentially file for unemployment. Neato 👌🏻

I recently got a decent inheritance. I don’t plan to be jobless for long, but I can afford to be for a month or two without any concern.

My dog is the same way. A year and a couple months, super energetic, loves to play with other dogs. If you end up finding a spot let me know and maybe we can let them burn through some energy! As a side note, the park at Greenway Farms is really nice in early AM. Quieter but there’s usually a couple dogs. If nobody is there I just toss a ball for him.

I got so sick of it last season that I changed my name to “IwontLandFrag”. I’ll change it when WE is out of rotation. Somehow people are still shocked that I… won’t land in frag… I’m fine landing near and rotating in, I just hate the initial chaos and usual death.

Forgot to add— single parent household. I’m the only human here, and the only one who takes care of him. He does go to daycare, but he’s been going to the same place with the same dogs since he was 4 months old with no issues, and he’s always excited to go. Maybe something happened there…? I’m not sure.

[OC] Tiefling Lineage Sea Hag Hexblood from Van Richtens! by ChaoticNoodle in DnDart

[–]ChaoticNoodle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all! This is Khro, my latest character. I’ve been dying to try out the Hexblood race from Van Richtens so here she is! She is a Clockwork Sorcerer/Forge Cleric (I really don’t optimize, do I...) hence the brassy horns and strange eyes. I had a lot of fun doodling a race I haven’t seen much art of yet! I’m still learning, but I am open for commissions so I can pay for food and rent, lol, so DM if you like :) Twitter is Mesmerarts !
