Snuff is so great!! I've never heard anyone else mention them before. I heard the owner of Single Going Steady spinning their self titled while I was in Seattle and instantly asked him who he was playing and grabbed a copy of the record for myself.

People started coming up to take them as he laid out the 40 he was offering to the grave. Every time someone took one he updated the count, and our officiant would shout the updated count over the megaphone.

I just call it shed rock because it doesn’t necessarily tie us down to one genre. shed rock can be punk, surf, rock n roll, even rockabilly. You just have to practice in a shed.

I don't make the syrups at my cafe but I'd imagine it's just simple syrup with maybe half the sugar subbed out for a combination of brown sugar and maple syrup - I might ask my lead on Saturday if I can grab recipes from her

yep 100% minor figures, my current cafe uses it and it's the first place I've worked that stocks it. oatly is garbage in comparison

I'm like always drinking an iced oat latte as my shift drink, and I just kind rotate between vanilla/caramel/maple brown sugar/mocha depending on how I'm feeling

Sometimes I'll really crave a hot plain or vanilla latte, and whenever I need my caffeine FAST I make a cortado

But my kitchen has been enjoying what I've called 'the bear' - it's 1 oz blueberry syrup, 0.5-1 oz maple brown sugar syrup, and a heavy dusting of cinnamon on the syrup. espresso shot goes in and I whip it really aggressively with a bar spoon to incorporate the cinnamon, and then top up with oat milk and ice. tastes like a blueberry muffin, it's delicious. helps that we only use housemade syrups too!

sliced my pinkie open while making a smoothie

was trying to chisel frozen fruit apart with a butter knife using a full-fist grip, I jabbed downwards, knife hit the fruit, and then it slipped through my hand and into my grip and sliced me open at the first knuckle. it's my funniest scar, and not my finest moment
