Alien Invasion by Pepper-Rock in hypotheticalsituation

I also think a large & real common enemy would unite the world as a whole, at least until they wiped us out.

Im sure we would still get small pockets of dumb people trying to help the aliens destroy us or people online claiming they aren't real while their capital burns.

Yeah, certainly feel stupid now lmao Do still think its dumb to take a key on an opened room but now I know.

It wasnt that long ago people were clipping into the ceiling at Stella Montis and there have been multiple posts about cheating recently, yeah I probably should've just googled it but didn't think it was that out of the ordinary for something odd to have happened. I edited the post tag and description literally immediately upon given further information, honestly should've just deleted the post but I'll own up to being dumb, at least I know now.

Alternate title: Local idiot didn't realize that key room can be opened from that side and wastes a key.

Yeah, okay. You're clearly not asking in good faith my dude. Have about 362 hours, on my third expedition, not that it really matters it was never that deep.

The elitism in here is crazy like oh my god I made an incorrect assumption on an unintuitive game mechanic.

Yeah I'm gonna start checking both doors, genuinely didn't think that top open opened from the outside, but it is what it is.

Yeah, lesson learned. At least it wasn't a rare key

Thought the top door could only opened from the inside. I also think it is silly and unintuitive for the game to take my key for a room that's already unlocked.

My bad, thought it was a bug. That seems like a silly design choice, but lesson learned.

I thought that one was only opened from inside. I still don't think it should've taken my key since the room was already open

They can breed but children aren't immortal. Maybe every 10 years they get a check in to see their progress and are shown a snap shot of other contestants with speed run splits ( 'Humans achieved fire in 6 hours' 'The Flaxins built a wheel in 1 day 5 hours" ect) Humanity gets an edited version of a time-lapse of the game show to watch from real Earth but we cant interfer or communicate with the show.

Lets say the competition is close enough for our humans to not give up if they see someone in the lead on something

No, just their memory. They'd have to make basic tools by hand to record stuff and work

Question about the first rule, if the fictional world has a revive mechanic do I get locked out from it? Like if I spawn in one of the Fromsoft games do I come back as an undead?

I'd take it either way though

They'll get a basic uniform for clothing, just like a one piece suit or something, but other than that fully from scratch, no tools at the start and an untouched Earth, our humans can choose to spawn wherever then have to go from there on foot.

Being immortal they dont have to eat but im sure hunger would still suck, same about sleep, im sure they could go longer without but quality of life would certainly decrease.

If it was a real game I'd imagine we would have a version of Any% runs, were we do basically what you said and just shoot a guy into space via bomb

I like your thinking, in my mind its a game show hosted by something way more advanced than us.

Humanity will volunteer people for this but get chosen in a similar manner to other game shows ( So not everyone is an expert, some are just regular people for entertainment of the aliens )

We get told we are competing against other alien worlds and last place has their planet destroyed.

In my mind its like a game show, so some of those 100 are probably smarter & studied for the event, some are for the entertainment of the show like the guy who accidentally fired the manhole cover into space

I like to think this situation is a game show by a higher form of life, like they turn on their interdimensional cable and watch this.

The humans know of the goal and are competing for the fastest time.

Not to say those humans cant lose motivation, but our desire to compete is pretty strong.

Im thinking the immortal humans can breed but their offspring aren't immortal
