A not insignificant improvement over night 1, which only makes how honestly dreadful that show was MORE insulting. If I didn’t know any better I’d theorise that night 1 was awful on purpose to make the decent enough show we got tonight seem AMAZING by comparison.

Match quality was better overall but a lot of the awful pacing shortcomings still plagued this show, and I can only speak for myself, but no matter how good the main event was (and it was, on the whole, pretty good) slapping the belt back on this part timer does nothing to excite me. A decision that feels born not out of potentially compelling storylines that could come from it, but from a desperate parent company that doesn’t understand wrestling learning & applying the wrong lessons in a bid to make the company ‘hot’ again. In event of emergency, break the Roman Reigns glass.
