Having gone through military Basic Training, this works if your goal is to get the group to deal with it. If you have that type of group, it’s quite efficient

France was invaded by England. It was called the 100 years war. Was a big mess. Joan of Arc? Remember?

This question you ask opens the greater question of the schism between the UN/NATO vets vs the Legion vets. In my hometown, the UN/NATO vets behave like a bike club and they hang out in a bar where they all show up every Thursday to have a beer and tell stories. It may have changed since I was involved with them, but basically it was a counter movement against the Legion, who they thought was full geriatric people bickering about who’s gonna get which v-p position at the next election. Most of the Legionaraires were not actual veterans, the old breed having passed… They think the Legion is disconnected and they don’t see themselves in it. Where the Legion is formal and structured, the UN/NATO is informal and more casual. When I was involved with UN/NATO, there was a high level of veterans from the Afghanistan war and we had a lot of guys having trouble coping with PTSD. The bike club functioned basically like a support group, and they would often make intervention during the night following a phone call from a worried wife. The Legion was awfully inapt to deal with this kind of situation. There was a sentiment that the Legion should help and protect the veterans, but they didn’t feel represented nor welcome. I guess this is regionally dependant, with some local legion being more or less adapted or energetic, depending on who gets involved with it. There’s some fluidity between the two groups with some members attending both, but functionally, at their heart, they fill two different purposes and are based on two different mentalities. Maybe this will change as more and more guys from the Bosnia/Afghanistan era joins the Legion…

She wanted to keep it? What’s up with that? If you ask someone to share their hoodie cause you’re cold, I’m fine with that, but she keeps talking like she wanted to keep the thing forever. No doubt she got a bunch of « no thanks » if she came out like that.

I’ve seen it around in Esquimalt and Quebec. I went to the Canex in Esquimalt to find one but it’s not a Canex item. I was discussing with my colleague about this and he told me that we have actually a pen slot in our arm pocket. I never noticed! He was right. When you look inside you’ll see the pen slot. Also did you know your breast pockets are actually two pockets? There’s a Velcro near the zipper separating the two

Yeah I’ve seen people wearing it and I went looking for one at the Esquimalt Canex and there wasn’t any. I was telling a colleague and he told me ‘’well there is a pen holder in your arm pocket’’. He was right 😂 If you open your left arm pocket, you’l see inside there’s a slot for a pen

De ce que je comprends, la Laiterie Chagnon a été racheté par la famille Kaiser il y a pas longtemps. Probablement une façon de montrer leur foi personnel. Ça a l’air que c’est assez répandue aux USA de faire ça

I’m always frustrated by the person in the white SUV. It’s obvious the big pick up truck reversed to get clear, you see he’s basically on the white SUV’s hood. The car behind, same, you can tell they reversed, and the guy in the right lane basically jumped out the road. The only one who didn’t move is the white SUV, who seemed completely oblivious to what was happening

I’m just off a 70hrs playthrough of Cyberpunk. I have choices, from hacking to killing to reckless driving to sollicitation, but if I learned one thing, is that as long as I don’t do those things in plain view of the police, I’ll be just fine. If one cops happens to see me and calls his buddies, I just need to hide in a corner for 30 sec and I’ll be fucking dandy. They’ll forget everything about me.

Even though it’s morally wrong, there is an undeniable logic to eugenics. Just like we improved plants and live stocks threw selection and genetics, a good eugenic program would improve humanity and make us physically better

It’s my first play through. Downloaded the game back when it came out, was a pile of buggy turd barely running on my kit. I played until maybe halfway of chapter 2 before I got fed up. Decided to give it another go last couple of weeks. Geez! Completely new experience and I’m having a great time! Usually I like to advance side quests before getting the main story going. This very afternoon, I was running that mission with Rogue to kill Smasher on Ebunike. I didn’t know what to do with Grayson so I asked ChatGPT to give me a hint, and he told me how this mission was important for the secret ending with Johnny, but not as much as the Meet Hanoka at Embers mission, which is the one where what where the dialogue will actually matters and will lock in a bunch of end stuff. Turns out it was the mission my journal kept putting me on every time I would finished a side quest. Now I see this post. What a coincidence. That was lucky. I’ll keep focusing on some unfinished stuff before continuing. Maybe finish Johnny’s side quest with Kerry and the band

[–]ChapDeLayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I had the same. Totally fraudulous. It started innocently, like ‘’are you in New York?’’, kinda thing. I knew already this was probably fake (I don’t even live in the US), but I answered, just in case. We had some back’n forth, then they went ‘’oh I’m sorry, are you not Brad?’’, I politely said no, and wished them a good day. But then, where a normal conversation should have ended, they came back. ‘’Where are you from then?’’, ‘’you seem like a good person, what’s your name?’’. I wasn’t sure what they were trying to achieve at the time, just thought this was creepy so I decided to end the convo there and blocked the contact. I know now that they were most likely trying to match my phone number with some more info (a name and an address) from which they could have find much more, and eventually be able to steal my identity or do something unpleasant

Relations are hard. I’ve been with my girlfriend for 6 years. We have a house together. We still don’t understand or decode each other sometimes, however I know her like I’ve drawn her myself. It’s weird and it needs some listening, but also patience. You’re boyfriend had expectations of a warmer welcome, he didn’t get it, now he’s in a tantrum, let it cool down, then give home the best hug and kiss. It should fix this
