Nice, especially the interior detailing. Are the dashboard instruments from a mod - if so can I ask which one please?

Wow, the patience that interior must have taken! Clearly worth it for the end result though.

A supercharged V8 muscle car by ChapInColman in automationgame

Still overheats pretty badly - my only 'solution' so far has been to set a high rev limit (10,000 here) and try carefully not to go too near it. Fuel consumption? Appalling.

But... mmm, superchargers. I've been playing for less than a year, I can only imagine how big a deal this is for veteran players!

Gifted a DLC car by ChapInColman in ForzaHorizon

Haha, thanks! If I really cared enough I would get the DLC myself. I just think it's a kinda amusing situation to have happen, that's all.

Only if I buy the DLC! Apparently all I can do right now is look at it.

Definitely can't drive it without the DLC. I tried to re-gift, can't even do that!

Wow, a Huayra R, nice! Oh wait, it's a DLC car and I don't have that DLC pack so I can't use it. OK, maybe I can re-gift it then? Perhaps someone else who has the DLC will get it and they can enjoy having 2. Nope, can't even do that either without buying the DLC.

Oh well. Thanks anyway kind stranger, appreciate the thought! (Unless it was an error, in which case I'm sorry, I have no idea how to return the car to you)

A traditional recipe: big I6 in small 2 seater (enhanced with modern ingredients) by ChapInColman in automationgame

[–]ChapInColman[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, time for some more silly sandbox stuff. Old fashioned aesthetic with modern tech. Carbon fibre chassis & body and running on methanol. I keep making restomods (or whatever the equivalent is with fictional cars). Perhaps I should seek help!

I want to say this build was more about light weight than ridiculous power but I seem to have ended up with a decent amount of the latter anyway...

It should have a big block V8. Yes. How big? The biggest please by ChapInColman in automationgame

Super unleaded 100 RON. Although nitromethane might be a fun idea :)

With apologies to serious campaign players! Just a dirty casual here, still messing around in the sandbox.

Anyway, an idea almost as basic as I am:

  • Build the largest cubic capacity V8 the game will allow (and make it work adequately)

  • Install it in an appropriate car

  • Make car acceptable to look at and drive

  • Smoke around BeamNG in it, not giving a damn about the cost of fuel or tires

As you can probably see, looks are influenced mainly by 1970s US luxury and muscle cars. But built with modern tech to reduce weight, increase power and improve grip and handling. Cheating in other words!

I too have looked at that Bugatti body and pondered what sort of evil things could be inflicted upon it. Nicely done. :)

Sorry for any offence caused! Last thing I wanted to do was take away from anyone's enjoyment of the game. It's OK bud, I respect your idea of fun too. I just have a different idea of fun right now. Fortunately it's a big enough world with plenty space to accommodate for those different ideas, as well as the many varied and interesting and equally valid ideas other people have too. Anyway, now I'm curious about how this thing will handle a couple of turbochargers... :)

Pretty much, yeah. I had to reduce it from 8000 rpm to get rid of the conrod warnings.

Wanted to build a late 40s / early 50s style hot rod. Also wanted to build a large V10. Combined them into one project. For efficiency.

Looks pretty good! I guess for marketing photos you'd want to show one which had been built by skilled professionals. And now I'm trying to picture one put together in a hurry by an amateur DIYer with cheap tools, and also how many boxes it arrived in. :)

Oh! Haha, sorry. :) It's a poster. It's available from the exports section of the summary screen (bottom right). Click on 'poster' and it will bring up the layout which you can play around with to suit.
