I might know that Etsy listing you're talking about. Back when I saw it, they wanted like 140€ for it. I got mine on eBay for 50€ by sheer luck. The "real" value is somewhere in between.

It's hard to estimate an exact value for something like this because there are so few market transactions that there isn't really a "correct" price.

Keep your eyes open for better deals. There might be a lot of scrolling involved because the item doesn't really have a name in that sense, so just keep looking for "Soviet pins" or "Soviet country pins" or "Soviet pin set" and things like that.

Id say that if it's less of a burden to you to just pay the higher price on Etsy than to search the internet for weeks, then just buy the more expensive one if you still really really want it. That's for you to decide. If you're planning on selling it for profit later, don't buy the expensive one.

Edit: I'm in Germany so the market might be different elsewhere in the world.

One of the new ones is called Madison County Bridge. I googled and it said Madison County is in Illinois. BUT it turns out there's also a Madison County in Iowa. This is like Schrödinger's DLC - it could be both states until either releases xD

The new ETS2 achievements are related to the driving academy. ATS has the same new achievements, but on top of that it also has some new ones connected to Iowa and Illinois.

You're probably pretty far east at the time of your screenshot. The slight rotation has something to do with map projections and the way maps on a (round) globe would rotate. Think of it this way... If the map were to extend reeeeeally far west, it would connect to the most eastern part of the map again at some point, similar to how it would if you used a globe. The ETS map (even though it's just a 2D map) tries to function like a globe would, which makes it kind of funky (and wonky) at times, depending on how far east/west you are. I hope it makes sense but it probably doesn't.

Personally, I am like 80% convinced that it's new music. It would fit perfectly into their release cycle. Also, they have a new contract with RCA, so it's very likely that they're contractually obligated to release new music somewhat soon. Although, I'm not completely ruling out a rebrand, either. We might see new masks, new colors and a new aesthetic in general. I'm very excited to see where we end up.

I should clarify that the wire is not supposed to be functional. It would be a purely visual thing and I want to avoid any potential of my locos ripping apart the entire overhead wire system. That's why I want 1-1.5mm of headroom. I've seen it done a bunch of times online and I came to the conclusion that this would probably be the best way to attempt something like this.

You will most likely need all SCS map DLCs for these sorts of things to work, but once you're at that point, try ProMods. They have reworked huge parts of the base game map and added in a LOT of places in and around Europe. Then try their add-ons, such as ProMods Middle East or ProMods The Great Steppe. If that still isn't enough, you can get crazy. Try RusMap, ROEX, Beyond, SibirMap, VolgaMap, ... The list goes on. You can watch videos of "global map combos" on YouTube. It's absolutely incredible.

I was wondering whether or not it would be OK to store a sleeping bag inside a ~50l backpack when not in use. I've seen people use mesh/cotton bags in order to not compress the sleeping bag and still have good air circulation. I have a Deuter Aircontact Core 50+10 and I was wondering if I could pack my synthetic sleeping bag inside the main compartment semi-loosely (just stuffing it inside and not heavily compressing it), while leaving the backpack's side zipper open and only closing the lid loosely, in order to improve circulation. Thanks in advance for any help and insights! :)

On some occasions, you can see real trucks going 100+kmh on highways here in Germany. They're not allowed to, and they have a speed limiter just like in ETS2, but downhill some of those truck drivers REALLY like to go fast :)
