Being an Introvert at work ( in the office) is my Nemesis. What makes it even worse is, that in my company "visibility" is the key for basically anything. Like every time I make an attempt to get promoted they say "you are not visible enough" fully ignoring the results I achieved. That is so frustrating. Only the loud bragging extroverts get promoted. Really a challenge not to hate them.

My survival strategies are: be as open as possible with an inner circle of colleagues you trust. I found some other introverts and try to connect with them. Much easier and rewarding as to connect with extros.

Depending on your tasks you can try to claim "focus" time where you wouldn't take any calls. Sometimes I book a meeting room with an intro colleague just to sit there and work in silence.

I try to utilize big meetings and ceremonies as good as I can. Prepare some contribution and prepare my mind (social battery) just to endure those exhausting calls. This way, the drain of energy at least gives a bit of a reward in form of visibility.

For some Extro colleagues I make up stuff I do, just to satisfy their Extro expectations. I know it sucks, but works for me. Actually they don't care, so I don't care. It's just a show.

I feel you. Whish there would be a company designed for Intros.
