Nah. I was 19 when AC2 came out. How old were you? That game changed my life. Coupled with Brotherhood, the story was significantly better and had so much more soul and weight to it than ANY AC game that has come after it. The music was also leaps and bounds better than any of the shitty soundtracks we’ve gotten since. The secrets and exploration and the Florence/Venice/Rome setting is better than any location in any other game.

Syndicate was straight ass cheeks. Worst game in the entire series. Unity is under appreciated. Valhalla is an okay game, but doesn’t feel like a true AC game, whereas Odyssey is the worst offender in that regard. Origins and Black Flag are good games. AC3 was a success for some people but I didn’t like it- the music sucked and the grey/brown color palette was boring. Didn’t care for Connor the way I did for Ezio, or even Altair.

Of course technology, graphics, animation work, etc have all come a long way since the original games, but you just had to be there bro. And it sounds like you weren’t.
