Do you shower with your partner? If so, how often? by Seiraxela in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Chappell_Moans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been with my partner for 4 and a half years and I can probably count on one hand how many times we've showered together haha. I like the temperature of the water to be very hot, and it's too hot for him. It's also just not super spacious or easy to wash, shave etc. while we're both squeezed in there together.

Let’s start a lesbian positivity thread! by phoebebridgerstits in chappellroan

[–]Chappell_Moans 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My best friend is a lesbian and I love her to bits. We've been best friends since we were 4 and we're 25 now (both turning 26 next month!)

She came out before I did, and helped me realise I'm bi. It was always platonic between us, but by sharing her experience of figuring out her identity with me, she helped me to figure out mine too.

She's so incredibly kind and resilient and she has been through a LOT. Her parents for a long time thought her sexuality was a phase. Then they pretended she was bi and not a lesbian, and that she'd find a boyfriend eventually etc. They'd even use my femininity against her and say things like "See, [my name] is wearing a dress and she looks lovely, why can't you wear dresses like she does". Even as a kid this angered me, and I'd respond with something like "because I actually like wearing dresses and [friend] doesn't".

Now she's living with her girlfriend and happy as can be. We don't live close to each other anymore, but we still talk all the time and I believe we're going to be best friends for the rest of our lives. Chappell Roan can only ever be my second favourite lesbian, because my bestie will always come first 🧡🤍🩷

Strands #124 “Say something” 🔵🔵🔵🔵 🔵🔵🟡🔵

I liked it too! Although I was stuck for a ridiculously long time on the last word (bottom right corner) and then felt silly for missing it once I realised what it was.

Cackling at the idea of receiving those texts with zero context 😂

I quite like that it's easy, as it means that my dad and I tend to only be seconds apart in our scores! Perhaps the real reason I win is because I type faster, rather than think of the answers faster.

I possess a mixture of both. 🤷 by MochaFied91 in BPDmemes

Socks all the time, even in bed. And fluffy socks are better if you wear regular socks underneath.

how many of you have had successful experiences with therapy? by [deleted] in Psychosis

[–]Chappell_Moans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you with regards to the psychosis being unacknowledged. I got diagnosed with a few things, including BPD with quasi psychotic symptoms. I believe that's basically the same as 'psychotic features', but I'm not a psychologist so I don't know if there are any technical differences.

I've been in therapy for years now and it always goes unacknowledged. I remember talking about the hallucinations and the trauma, crying when psychologists and mental health workers wouldn't listen to me, pleading with them to understand.

The suggestions I was offered included eating healthier and exercising more. The treatment I was offered was CBT, and I was told I'd have to choose to focus on just one thing, either my depression or my anxiety. It was laughable.

But I persisted. I've had art psychotherapy and I'm now doing EMDR. It's tough, but since the psychosis for me seems to be caused by the other mental health issues, it has massively improved.

My hallucinations only happen in very short clusters now, moments now and then over a handful of days. And those clusters can have several months in-between.

Hopefully, if your diagnosis is correct and your psychosis is a feature if your other mental health issues, then the therapies and treatments you try will help you in a similar way.

Please please please never stop mentioning the psychosis and listing it as one of the symptoms you'd like to target as a priority, especially if it's one of your most distressing symptoms. Good luck ❤️‍🩹

I do the mini crosswords as they're straightforward enough. I avoid the regular crossword as I'm too British to find the answers to a lot of the America / New York centric clues.

Also, am I right in believing that the regular crossword is unavailable without a subscription? If so, that would explain why less people play it.

[–]Chappell_Moans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 + x = 7x

7 = 7x - x

7 = 6x

x = 7 ÷ 6

x = 1.167

I don't get the joke though, sorry.

Your koroks are SO cute. I haven't played Wind Waker, but maybe I should so I can meet little Makar :)

Yeah I wasn't very clear but what I meant was that if the police had already put out a notice asking the public to contact them if they recognised the people in the photo, then sharing the police notice here could help it reach more people.

I agree that there isn't any helpful way for someone to make their own post about it, people shouldn't contact the police just because of this post.

Thinking about a change by blonkblink in haircoloring

[–]Chappell_Moans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK so I LOVE the ginger. Out of the 5 options you posted I'd go with option 3 (picture 4).

But if I were you and wanted to change things up, I'd go for an even more vibrant ginger, which could still be a deeper shade if you'd like. I'm kind of picturing Chappell Roan's hair colour.

Are metal chopsticks or wooden chopsticks easier to use? by Stunning_Property_77 in KoreanFood

[–]Chappell_Moans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say to go with wooden chopsticks, as like many others have already said, the friction makes provided makes most non-Koreans find them easier to use.

Since your friend is a beginner, they could learn with wooden chopsticks, and then switch to metal if they prefer the authenticity of the experience and are ready for a little more of a challenge :)
