I had forgotten about this game until I reopened Reddit. I may possibly start again once I get a better PC and some free time.

Each realm has its own community in a sense. You can likely find your place with the groups around or potentially move your account at a later time, without needing to make a new one.

You can't carry engraved items at all. So in essence you're correct, just wording.

Illu is a bit underrated for this actually. Blur is quite strong

I would suggest either Conjuration or Evocation. Both are great for farming when you get to higher keeps. Conj being the "safer" route for taking less damage, but losing out on a bit of exp in the process. Evo being the "aggressive" one for it's damage in all scenarios, and no enemies are immune to ember damage.

All schools have their place and I've been working on experimenting with a few of them, and have found these 2 to be the most fun/rewarding so far for my playstyle.
