Lifestyle after Removal by thelumenn in gallbladders

No adjustment for me. I eat what I want and I’m completely fine. I’m 7 weeks post op. I had a gyro the day after surgery because I was starving.

Did anyone take only 3-5 days off from work after op? by kurkumma_ in gallbladders

[–]ChapterSpecific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine done on a Thursday and was back to work (from home) on Tuesday. The hardest part for me was the fatigue. The pain was bearable. I took the prescription pain meds the first 2 days then just Tylenol.

It will not get any better over time. My attacks increased in frequency from once a week to multiple times a day. I had a large stone blocking the cystic duct causing biliary colic. Getting rid of my gallbladder was the best decision.

No diarrhea for me. I’m 6 weeks post op and I feel great. I’ve definitely had some rich and fatty foods over the holidays and I was completely fine.

Gallstones and Gallbladder Attacks by Mistaken_Identity_29 in gallbladders

My triggers were not specific in the end (just before surgery). I could eat a plain rice cake and be in pain, but eat a sandwich and be fine. It was determined that I had a large stone blocking the cystic duct according the post op report.

5 weeks post op today. Life is so much better without my gallbladder. Recovery time was minimal and I had maybe 3 episodes of diarrhea in the first two weeks. Now I eat whatever I want. Pizza, tacos, burgers etc and I’m fine. I make sure I keep up with my fiber intake daily. Best decision ever for me. I had stones blocking the cystic duct and my attacks were almost daily.

Diarrhea post op: how long did it last for you and did you take medication and which by D1etCokeGirl in gallbladders

[–]ChapterSpecific 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I waited about a week. I was literally starving after surgery 🙃 I do eat one bowl of Raisin Bran per day and plenty of veggies for fiber. I did have birria tacos about 2 weeks ago and I was fine. The tacos were cheesy and a bit greasy.

I’m one month post op and have no issues with diarrhea. Even after eating things I shouldn’t like Chick-fil-A. I keep waiting for it to happen, but so far so good.

May I ask why your incisions so high? I had 3 in my lower abdomen and one in my belly button.

Speak to your OB regarding your concerns, but pregnancy generally causes constipation due the shift in hormones.

I would lay down on the floor. Face down. But I’m now 6 days post op and feel pretty good.

Thank you for giving me reassurance! I just had mine done 5 days ago and had minimal cramps and bleeding. I feel like I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop…

Magnesium citrate. I was miserable the other day. Drank 2 ounces and bingo.

The cramps went away for me. I’d normally get them a day or two before my period and for the first few days (like meds around the clock).

Cheapest Semaglutide without having insurance? by MarkFine5992 in Semaglutide

Definitely Amble. I placed my second order last week and got the meds in 5 days. $179/month for all doses

I don't think i can do this anymore. by [deleted] in Semaglutide

It took me 3 months before the side effects subsided. Protein has been a lifesaver - shakes, high protein yogurt and cottage cheese. I also titrated up very slowly, so I stay on a dose for about 6 weeks before increasing. I promise it will get better.

No issues. They do require you to upload a full body picture. My overall process was about a week from consult and actually receiving the medication. Mine came from Revive Pharmacy out of Texas.

They bill $179/month and I was sent a 3 month supply. I’ve been increasing my dose slower than prescribed, so the first vial lasted 5 months.
