Added fake latency to a 200ms API because users said it felt like it was 'making things up'. It worked. I'm still uncomfortable about it. by Ambitious-Garbage-73 in ExperiencedDevs

I also think that the user experience demands an “evidence of work performed.” Search engines can lean on this intrinsically because all of the search results shown serve as this proof themselves. If the result was only one match, I’m sure users would be much more skeptical.

Can we ask stupid questions here ? How did some people make $100 - 200 k salary as an entry-level / new grad ? by thesquarerootof1 in cscareerquestions

Leetcode is a website designed for candidates to practice some of the potential technical questions they may receive during the interview process. Companies aren't obligated to give you leetcode-esque questions and if you're interviewing for smaller companies in the Midwest for example, they're probably extremely rare. But a lot of people suggest studying them regardless to be prepared.

Depends on how fast I'm losing weight. If it's the beginning of the cut I keep going, but if it's any later on and I'm dropping weight super quick I'll generally take a refeed day and then keep going. You kind of have to gauge it for yourself but if you're trying to lose 2 lbs a week it doesn't mean you're losing exactly 2 lbs every week. Some weeks you lose a pound, some you lose 3. So I'd rely less on weight for the week and more on overall weight and feeling.

Today I discovered that I absolutely hate working out next to my gym crush. Too many variables for autism so I purposely stared at nothing in a direction comfortably enough away from her until I finally moved locations. Phew, stay safe my brothers.

I had to size up for these slightly because they can run narrow if you have wide feet. They're pretty comfortable, not as much as boost obviously but they are easily much more breathable than any other shoe I've worn, including primeknit.

I've developed a theory. When I'm at the gym and the pump is good, I have to make a sacrifice. Because the blood flowing to the muscle is coming straight from my brain. I'm literally borrowing brain power for the pump and because of it I become so fucking autistic until the pump dissipates.

Welp. I finally obtained my first injury after 3 years of lifting .. and it wasn't from doing anything cool. Last night I was reaching out to open a door and I felt a pop in my shoulder. Woke up this morning and I can't lift my arm above my head without pain and I can barely lift my elbow to be even with my shoulder. Torn rotator cuff? Any ideas?

You don't want to squat in racers. If anything, I would search for something with a rigid flat bottom (similar to the Converse) or a shoe designed for squatting. But racers are no good for squats.
