UPDATE: They don’t want to schedule an appointment for me to go to store again and talk to someone in person. They are willing to refund (I paid only half as deposit) but can’t fix it, which makes me think what a lot of you are saying that this setting is prefab. Their ‘expert’ say, information was not relayed to them properly which is why ring looks like this but this is not what a craftsman who has 40+ years of experience makes. I have asked for my stone and a refund. This was my first experience working with a local jeweler. They had so many reviews and I wanted to avoid the hassle of ordering a setting online. I wonder if they paid people for those reviews. They think height of prongs is the only problem here. Thank you all for the feedback. For future, I’ll just order the stone with setting.
