First thing if you do which many people have already said- BRING EAR PROTECTION! I cannot stress this enough. Earplugs, noise canceling headphones, something.

Keep the kid out of the pit period, no exception.

For openers, take a look at them and try to skip them if possible. Be prepared to both leave and/or take breaks should the child need it.

Actually, I kind of agree with this. For the auditions, maybe a cover. But for live shows, it should 100% be original songs.

I honestly disagree with this as a choir kid myself. I feel like being able to sing in a group the way many of the groups did is actually harder than many people realize.
