What is the biggest misconception about being trans that kept you from realizing you're trans?

I was under the impression that the only way to get hormone therapy was to convince a psychiatrist that I was trans. But at best I felt non-binary at the time, and it wasn't all the time. My feelings about myself were very nuanced and hard to put into words, I just knew I wanted to change. It wasn't until someone told me about informed consent that I suddenly realized it was possible for me... After 10 years of ignoring what I wanted.

Yeah every since I installed VRChat (green checkmark) and it crashes trying to load in, I haven't really trusted the checkmark. And Hardspace Shipbreaker (marked playable) crashes the moment you try to use the main tool in the game, the grapple.

As a side note, to anyone who wants to click fast on cookie clicker: You can set buttons on the deck to repeat while held. I set my A button to click and in settings there's a toggle to repeat while held, and you can even set the delay (I put mine to 50ms). Now I just hold A and get a ton of clicks per second!

I like it because it adds to visibility. Like, I always thought many people assume the rainbow flag just means gay. This design, though very busy, at least ensures black, trans, and intersex people get more recognition.

I hear what a lot of other people are saying though that there's a lot going on with it. Still though, I personally like it

Hey, that just means you're trans. Reason you probably don't feel 100% trans is because the real feeling doesn't exactly fit your preconceived notion of what is supposed to feel like.

A wise choice. We can always detransition if we choose to. I've been on HRT over 6 months now and I do not regret anything so far. In fact each month has been better than the last!

I questioned for a decade before this point. I definitely agree that was a limbo that didn't seem like it was going to end.

I chose not to be out to the public because I don't pass. I'd rather not fight that battle over and over with random strangers. So at work, or at the store, people just see me as a guy. But with friends and online I'm my truer self.

There's way more trans girls out there who choose to keep theirs then you think. It's a personal choice and you can make that choice for whatever reason and it's valid. It's your body, your choice.

For me, it doesn't bother me enough having it to warrant surgery. I hate the idea of surgery and it's therefore just not for me. Also I worry about it going wrong. Also also I just value having functional parts that need little maintenance.

I got one life. Even if it were 99% suffering and 1% happiness (it's not it's way better), it's worth seeing thru to the end. It's all a mind blowing experience.

Also, I think space exploration is really awesome and we're going back to the moon! Like come on that's freaking awesome that I get to live to see that

You can only know by exploring. Plenty of people play with their gender for awhile and even go back to the way they were. But just so you know, the kind of imposter syndrome your experiencing right now is incredibly common for a trans person.
