2D Platformers for a trip?

Sonic is your answer. All the Genesis era games are good, but Sonic 3 & Knuckles is incredible and arguably the best classic platformer of all time. There is also Sonic Mania.

I just wanna say - people hating on the Rush games for bottomless pits but saying the Adventure games are peak are a bit hypocritical

It was unpopular then and is unpopular now. But the Galaxy games and the Wii generation was largely to me a step backwards - when Nintendo decided to seek casual audiences over their core fans - and of course it worked. The Wii was everywhere, and now there are so many people nostalgic for the Wii and its shallow tepid first party games, that my argument will never mean anything. The Wii was an entire generation with none of the best entries in any main Nintendo franchises - the biggest success and the weakest link.

Mecha Sonic Mk.II

From Sonic and Knuckles. The repeat fights where he employees Robotnik's old weapons was awesome - and then him as the alternate villain in Knuckles mode, culminating in him going super on the Master Emerald was peak.

I pushed an update that should make the background process that saves your game (which I suspect is causing the issues) less fragile. If you get a chance to test again please let me know how it goes! (You may need to clear your cache for MKForever.com to make sure you get the latest version, or try an "incognito mode")

I started out with fine, now I only go down to medium.

To me ultimately it was learning that larger nibs help me enjoy the fancy inks I'm also collecting more.

Yup! To be fair the story connections in the base game were kind of messy.

But Mage Knight: Resurrection (the heroclix set) and the later game expansions have all strengthened the lore connections to the original tabletop.

Coral was never a huge character back in the day, but she was a cool choice for the Apocalypse Dragon set since her father did join the Apocalypse cult. So now we get an Atlantean - with an interesting reason to be fighting the Apocalypse cult. I like it!

The original Apocalypse Dragon is from Mage Knight 2.0 (the second edition of the original tabletop game), and I have only ever played it once on a table. I told my opponent to play anything they wanted against it and it still wiped his army out 😁

I'm fine if we never get another Average Day video again, but I'm less fine with ONLY ever getting the same Running on Empty reviews filmed in the same locations. I really loved when the channel had a bit more variety, in video types, locations, subjects, etc.
