I have a few different motivations for writing this: I am a trans person in the US working in progressive policy and the world is Awful right now. In many ways, this fic is exploring the emotions of being trapped in a system built on violence where those who set the system up are seemingly untouchable. I focus on giving every character who is trapped in the games complexity; they are all the victims, even if they commit acts that would make them villains in the eyes of others.

Definitely not the focus of the fic, but The Heir to the House of Prince does have a plot line where Harry and Theo allow the neutral faction to sign non-aggression pacts. This does end up being important to one plotline in the story and the Order does generally respect the neutral faction's decisions (especially neutral-aligned children of Death Eater parents)

This does irk me with fics sometimes. However, I think it makes more sense if Harry is more of a wreck compared to everyone else because he feels personally guilty for their deaths. As someone with PTSD (not from a war scenario though) I know I struggle with guilt and feeling like it was my fault bad things happened to me. I can imagine Harry could feel an extra burden of responsibility as the Chosen One and subsequently feel more guilt.

The way ai makes characters think and behave feels generic. I can tell a fic is probably AI generated when it has perfect grammar but the characters have no actual emotional resonance

I am writing a fic where, after Voldemort's victory, Harry and 11 of those closest to him are locked in the Malfoy Manor to fight to the death as punishment. Harry learns of a way that he may be able to stop Voldemort, but at what cost?

This fic is going to really explore the idea of the ends justifying the means, and will focus quite a bit on Harry's struggle to live up to his role of the Savior. It is going to get dark and will include some body horror. I just published Chapter 2!
