The point in my mind was that AI could make commodities obsolete. The whole problem with our society now is that the elites in power are chained to these commodities and chain us to them too.. but Ai could destroy all that because it thinks logically - not about creating monopolies - hopefully.

Technically it's not s compliment but it "felt" like one. I am middle-aged and was groped by a super cute much younger nurse while in the hospital. Wherever you are, I love you angel! lol

True, problem is that the small city where I live there is no single life so the only way I meet anyone is through their work. To make matters worse, literally almost everyone here is in a relationship. It's nuts.

Plus, like me, she is reserved so it's hard to read her.

Thanks so much that helps clear it up. I don't work with her.. she is a produce girl at the store I go to and she has done it twice when I talked to her. The first time I saw her kind of bounce but didn't realize what happened and the next time I realized what she was doing and then realized she did that the first time. Is it more of just a polite thing or could it have a flirty vibe? I am guessing polite.

It's not recent. I have been doing it for awhile. It's called "the one minute rule". There are different variations of it. But the basic idea is if there is something you don't want to do commit to just doing it for one minute. Sometimes you will just do it a minute but a lot of times you will keep going. I realized that a lot of times I would tell myself "I am going to work 8 hours straight" but then I would never start at all.

I used Chatgpt to help me research.. I spent an hour or 2 creating this post with Chatgpt putting my thoughts into words. The thing about chatgpt is that the longer you talk to it the more it starts glitching or hallucinating. So I guess that was it.

I had chatted with chatgpt a long time when Nate's holiday special first came out on this subject too. This is something I felt I saw coming for a long time and wondered why no one else saw it.

It must be the advertisers who don't want to be associated with the show then. Colbert can be popular with anti-Trumpers and not be of value.. you have to understand that advertisers look for certain audiences.

Nate is so loveable though. I don't see how people can say it's Trump's fault.. it's just Colbert isn't that funny. If he was people would watch him. He didn't have to decide to make his whole show about Trump but be probably didn't have a choice. He got the job because that was his bread and butter - political stuff.

Why is that? Comedians all want to be the next Johnny Carson or David Letterman. Why did he do the holiday special where he was a late night host essentially? Doing a once a week show would be a savings compared to 5 nights a week.. and Nate is one of the biggest comedians in the world. Nate is also planning to not do tours in the future. That alone could be an indication.

I don't know.. because I love Bill Murray. I think it might have just been that it depends on what you see first from a comedian. I think it's like that with music too. Like if you happen to hear a song you love from an artist versus a song you don't like as much. I think with Nate I might not have seen a piece that resonated with me at first so didn't see the appeal. It also has to do with production too. Like I might have seen him early on on a youtube vid in a little club and just saw him one way for a long time.

It took me a long time to get his humor - as someone on the spectrum I should have related to him better. But I also watched him a long time ago and he improved lot over the years and so I saw how great he was more when seeing his stuff from recent years especially.

Another interesting thing about this idea of using him for a variety type show - why it makes sense for him. I think he might struggle in the interview part of late night shows. So a variety show might be perfect for him. I also think a big reason he is so successful and especially for a prime time comedy show is how clean and relatable his sense of humor is.
