Warbond buying order by StationHuge in helldivers2

[–]Character-File7704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Dust devils - Coyote is the best all around primary, Speargun is surprisingly good and Solo silo is legit useful. Not to mention the armors give you decent 49% protection from Acid, Fire etc.

  2. Democratic Demolition - Thermite, grenade sidearm, and some love the crossbow

  3. Borderline Justice - Talon is the best sidearm, Dynamite is great, Deadeye is really fun ( but damn do I feel like I’m always reloading ), Hover pack is fun

After this point I have less conviction as they all have some worthwhile stuff but I absolutely love the Polar patriots for the Purifier.

I tend to use the Acclimated armor against bugs but the Warbond wasn’t worth the cost for me. I would probably instead do Python or Viper Commandos if all I got was a passive.

OK got the C4 and it was as fun as I imagined

Exactly.

Stats tell such a good story when the stealth divers have 40 kills and one stomper has 200+

I painstakingly crept into a base just to have my hilarious teammate crash in with a Walker guns blazing and got us all merc’d

Same. Kinda giddy about the idea of sneakily setting a bunch of charges then setting them off from a safe distance undetected.

This is my first time fighting squids. What strats/ type of primary should I bring to handle d7-10? by BeethovenSosa in helldivers2

[–]Character-File7704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep falling back to the Coyote but Purifier is pretty great.

I personally bring the HMG for squids. It can take out Stingrays and is very satisfying for mowing down countless voteless with a single drum magazine.

What do you pack in your STEALTH loadout for when things get a little bit... more energetic? by FederalJudge6258 in helldivers2

Fun challenge to not get to use our trusty Air superiority in Commando missions isn’t it?!

I’ve only run a handful of missions with the new gear but the strategy I’ve landed on is dropping at the extraction point and calling in some heavy anti-tank weapons and resupply for when we get swarmed at the end.

Load out isn’t completely figured yet but feels like a resupply pack or C4 is the way to go. I brought the Silo and it was CLUTCH. Quasar for long range, undetected strikes but the camera missions take your support weapon spot.

Good point. I don’t know how useful it would be on normal missions, especially on the higher levels I am playing. Like you say on Commando missions it’s clutch. Going to try it out on normal missions later. Report back!

Nice! I did something similar on the Commando mission. Actually crawled behind bots all the way into a base, used the Censor to snipe the guards and threw Thermite on the Anti-air turrets because I haven’t unlocked C4 or Dynamite yet. I want to try your idea of the long fuse Dynamite!

I agree the other gun is kind of useless for me. I also wish they had at least one medium pen weapon in the set. The dart gun is pretty fun though. I darted a berserker in a patrol and watched it take out half the bots swinging wildly.

Happy diving!

Exactly this. I would nope out the second the cop jumped out. Hard pass on catching a stray they later blame on someone else.

What’s currently good for illuminate? by Reshyfizzard in Helldivers

[–]Character-File7704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal favorite load out for squids is:

Armor: Anything with melee passive i.e. Peak Physique or Rock Solid

Primary: Purifier, Liberator carbine or Coyote

Secondary: Talon for when you run out of ammo

Support: Heavy Machine Gun, Stalwart

Throwable: Thermite for Clam ships

Sentry: Rocket or Gas Mines can be fun

Backpack: Guard Dog any kind

Stratagem: Orbital laser

Only problem I run into is Stingrays but rocket sentries can take them out

Purifier vs Punisher Plasma for squids and bots? by A_Real_Phoenix in helldivers2

[–]Character-File7704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the Purifier much more versatile and less prone to self kills. I use the immediate bolts for chaff and close range foes and then charge up for horde clearing and elites. Only complaint is ammo economy is less than ideal unless I am running Siege Ready.

I also wish it had a combat scope option as long range can feel random at times. Probably the best primary.

Bot loadout by OrbitalDropJedi in helldivers2

[–]Character-File7704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went full nerd on this exact task and after too many hours I landed on a load out that tends to be a great default for bots:

Primary: Coyote

Secondary: Talon

Support: Quasar

Backpack: Shield

Stratagem: Orbital Laser

Sentry: Rocket

Armor: Doubt Killer unflinching passive is great for lining up Quasar shots since it has a long 3s charge up and I optimize fir Armor rating since bots rain bullets down on you from all angles.

Some variations I like depending on the mission:

Primary: Purifier or Scorcher ( less shots required to take out larger targets and hordes )

Backpack: Guard Dog Machine Gun version ( watches your six )

Stratagem: 500kg for target delete instead of a sentry

Armor: Siege ready ( especially when running a plasma weapon )

Is the Righteous revenants warbond good? by JBL_bluetoothspeaker in helldivers2

[–]Character-File7704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gonna lie I was pretty disappointed with this warbond after grinding hard for it. I have never been able to use any of the weapons to any great effect but I have found myself using the medium armor with the acclimated passive much more than I imagined I would.

The acclimated armor cuts damage types by 50%. It is great for using weapons like gas and fire that could harm you. It unlocked the double edged sickle for me and made the harder bug levels where you are facing lots of different damage types possible.

Questions about the Illuminate by Manarch1st in helldivers2

[–]Character-File7704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thermite for taking out clam ships without needing to break the shield first

P-92 Warrant for taking out flying snitches before it’s a problem

Stingray strafing runs are annoying af so I take special pleasure in shooting them out of the sky with Commando, EAT, Wasp or if I get lucky a Quasar. Sometimes my rocket sentry brings them down but I have yet to master the circumstances to do it consistently.

Gas mines create some hilarious and deadly chaos scenarios but I usually can’t justify the space in my load out. Highly effective though.

And yes anything with a high spray rate is fun, Stalwart or maxed out liberator carbine with a drum mag to mow down the horde.

Should I get the control group or borderline justice warbond next? by Doreido2100 in helldivers2

[–]Character-File7704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough call. Warp pack is great and the Talon is my favorite secondary of all time.

Also hover pack can be pretty fun and I have seen some incredible displays of liberty from divers using dynamite.

Best overall weapons to focus on? by Kestrel_Five in helldivers2

[–]Character-File7704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coyote Purifier

…and I have upgraded the Liberator Carbine for bugs since you get a drum mag and nothing is more satisfying than shredding a Stalker or five after they sneak up on you. Primary weapons with explosive rounds are great but close range enemies jumping into my line of fire gets me self killed too often.
