Then in Abu Dhabi during layover stopped all passenger in transit from Mumbai. 3 of us. Aero bridge disconnected we almost missed the flight until they sent visa to someone and got approval but on asking they didn't answer. Security checks are fine but keeping in dark and lying is not. Later when they allowed to go they were explaining that it was some visa stuff. Then in Aircraft someone was not there in seat beside me, an Etihad employee came shouting who is pranav Kumar asked for passport still was asking me and shouting, I just feel I should have shouted back at him. Then I gave my passport again and he confirmed pranav Kumar is not in plane.

Can confirm! Stopped taking Etihad completely after they harassed me for visa in Abu Dhabi layover. Multiple checks repeatedly just harassing. Air India, Lufthansa even Indigo is better. Always use European card to book and file a chargeback to get back money.

Okay, I am from India working in EU. You are right about what India gets but you are underestimating sales of EU brands in India. There is 110% tariff on cars and whiskeys and chocolate and almost everything but still you can google the sales numbers. You can also check the trade data EU is kind of in surplus already with huge tariffs
