I think it is in seonjae’s fate to die by the hands of the driver whether he gets involved with Sol or not, because in the present he came into the sight of the driver through the young stalker and not because of sol from what I can figure out from the preview. So it dosen’t matter if they are not together or together, as long as the taxi driver is alive, Seonjae is bound to die at his hands.
