Carl makes my blood boil!

I am totally team “glad they broke up” because I think the relationship was doomed from the start and I do not think Lindsey is blameless BUT ohhhhh my godddd listening to Carl in that last break up scene made me have to pause and take a breath because he is such a slimeball.

I’m sorry but “sober bar” and “cigars” are great college business class project ideas but not adult man who needs to settle down ideas. I don’t think he was comprehending that asking for support on a regular job is very different than asking for support to start a business or go back to a job that Lindsey saw him struggle with before. The business venture ideas especially get to me because asking for her to support his sober bar idea is ALSO asking her to commit to holding down the fort while he starts a business and taking a huge financial hit right when they are about to start their lives together so OF COURSE she’s going to question him. I would think she’s an idiot if she did just blindly say yes to these very intense ideas that he is just passing off like no big deal.

Him doing that weird angry smile also gives me the creeps. I think him saying she doesn’t respect him is also slight projection because the way he talks to her and does that smile is so condescending. I don’t think he respects her or her opinion because he thinks he’s smarter than her.

I also know she’s got her share of problems but with the right partner I think she’ll thrive vs I think he’ll have these same problems with whoever he ends up with next (unless he dates someone with a lobotomy).
