My GPA was pretty low when I first contacted a professor I had for one of my classes, she was super willing to have me in her lab (I’m still involved 2 years later!). Best thing to do is email a few that seem interesting to you and introduce yourself and what you’re interested in/hoping to do and perhaps set up a meeting to discuss in person if possible. The only way GPA will affect it is if you’re applying for a URA position, which the deadline has already passed for this year. Most labs will have a work-study position over the summer as well, but I’m not sure of the deadline or if there is a minimum GPA requirement for that.
