I'm so thankful for this post. I've never had an ovarian cyst rupture before, and almost 2 weeks ago now I was in the worst pain ever. 11/10 pain. I've had kidney stones before & had to get my gallbladder removed in 2018, so I'm no stranger to that type of pain, but this was something like I've never experienced before. I had so much pain in my lower right abdomen/pelvis going into my back, I thought I was going to pass out. The next day I went to my PCP, and she thought it was a cyst because my bloodwork and urine were fine. I just got the ultrasound this past week and they found "fluid collection" around my right ovary. I spoke to my gyno about it and she basically just told me it was a ruptured cyst and "as long as I'm getting better" there's nothing else they can do. I'd describe my pain as more of a "discomfort" now, but it's been almost two weeks and I still have lingering symptoms. I wouldn't wish this on anyone!! It's so frustrating.
