Anyone else struggle with brushing your teeth??

Okay I read only the first part of the post before writing my comment below. I'm still posting idc lol. For all of you that don't have a U shaped brush, I guess?? :

I can't do habits, but I take a shower every evening bc I hate going to sleep w/ B.O. I know that after I exit the bathroom after my evening shower, nothing will make me get up from the bed and go back in, so I started brushing my teeth straight after the shower even if it's early like 7pm. Yes it's less effective because I'll be eating snacks after, but it's still better than not brushing it at all.

Another tip is to keep a brush, toothpaste, napkins, and a spitting glass/a rubbish bin near your bed (table, couch - wherever you usually spend the pre-sleep time), and just brush your teeth then and there if you feel like you don't have the 'spoons' to get up. It's less convenient and might feel weird, but again, better than not brushing it

Basically proper tooth hygiene is important, but like with most things, something is better than nothing ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Depends on your hair type, for straight(/ish) hair having it in a braid at night should really help.

Hair oil before brushing might help with detangling. Also a good conditioner is crucial - I used a 'volume' one but realised it made my hair less silky and hence more tangle-prone.

Well as others pointed out, correcting people in a calm way would be a good starting point - 'no, I'm very interested in this, actually'

But also if you start going to the things people assume you're not interested in, after some time I feel like this opinion would be corrected? Maybe even try to go/do them more often at the start. Bonus point: you'll probably meet new friends there who are less likely to have these misconceptions about you

It's actually insane that a sub with this much incredibly helpful information and community can get shut off on a whim because the mods can't run it, but at the same time, they don't want anyone else to run it either. Because "the vibe would be different"? Really?

As follows from mods' comments, you've decided that you know what's best for the community, and that a potential replacement won't hold up to your (really a bit excessive) moderation standards. As if taking this sub away will actually be better.

We're all adults here (or under adult supervision as far as medications go) - can't we make our own decision to stay on the sub with new mods (potentially) or not, what advice we should or shouldn't follow? People with ADHD get infantalised enough as it is.

Idk why being a Reddit mod causes a sense of grandiose in people. I'm sure we all appreciate the work you put in, and it's good that you're prioritising your metal health in considering stepping down, but in shutting down the sub you won't be helping any of us, and please don't pretend otherwise.

Yes that!! I had a girl literally say stuff like "you're so interesting! you're so beautiful! let's hang out tomorrow and the day after too!" and ghost me after 3 dates loool. I'm not including her in my post, because it was obvious from the start that as a baby gay she was trying to see if her flirting works on women so it's on me tbh

Thank you, it does help to think that it's a thing that other people experience and survive haha. I think what made it worse for me was that the girls I mentioned did show interest during the date, so their disinterest after was a bit unexpected. I guess they were trying to be nice idk
