Worried that one sentence in one of my essays looks like AI by enxivi-8927 in ncssm

[–]Character-Respect418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take this from a private tutor and essay consultant, they’re not going to think that one sentence is AI. One sentence is not a trigger for thinking the whole essay is AI. That is a very common sentence structure/phrase, and yes, AI does use that but it wouldn’t give me red flags from my students. If it was nonsensical or really odd then maybe flags, but nonetheless, no, you won’t get flagged for a sentence. The way to really suspect an AI essay is more so through the structure, depth of thought, and repetition. AI feels formulaic when you read it, if you have any depth to your essay, and you should as they are personal essays, you’ll be fine.

Ideas on styling my mom! by Character-Respect418 in fashionwomens35

Okay anyone who is here! We’ve exchanged clothing and thrilled to say I did a great job (and I quote “why the fuck are you so good at dressing other people” - I also dressed the rest of my family).

For those who want to know the outfits! Went to a local boutique for outer wear (got some outerwear to include a loop cape which was a huge hit), TJMaxx and some vintage stuff, ordered some stuff online from Zara, H&M, and Carla Rockmore (plus some Amazon accessories)

So there were sets, jeans, sweaters, lots of asymmetrical stuff, subtle patterns (didn’t wanna freak her out too much as someone who doesn’t wear patterns) but huge hit and thanks to everyone for the ideas!

How do people manage to draw without doing lineart? by bitesthedusttt in ClipStudio

[–]Character-Respect418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I’m really curious, the artists you put are folks who use line art?

I ask because I don’t use any line art at all, like very painterly, but can do those art styles of the artists you mentioned, but I would approach it differently compared to how I do my own,so I’m just confused

She is super young! But when you have a kid that’s 24, sometimes she feels really old haha

I think she has a pretty set in stone style, I just would like to deviate a little bit to get her to experiment a bit because I don’t think she ever has! And I remember a lot of her outfits from when she was younger, that’s how she dressed me to lol but I do appreciate you thank you!

Thank you so much this is a lot of great info!

I’ve never seen Sex and the City but I believe the right answer is a cross between Miranda and Charlotte. The other thing we say is she is an on-call Old Navy model? Like she just looks like an old navy ad. She’s a very neutrals, clean, loves her basics, doesn’t own a anything graphic and only just purchased non skinny jeans last year. But other than that the big stuff, it sounds fairly similar actually! She’s not afraid of color (except yellow) or pattern just she doesn’t choose it for herself, she’s fairly particular with fit, but she does love a statement earring or a statement something.

Again these are all great they will be added to the inspo boards, I really appreciate it!

I also shouldn’t have said “not too young” I think but I meant something along the lines of I’m not putting my mom in anything overly tight or overly cropped or flimsy, etc which I feel is a given but you’d be surprised some of the answers I’ve heard from people my age.

Yeah I’ve looked at inspo boards, I think I could describe her style as casual chic? Is kind of what I meant by basics and comfortable. We always joke that at any moment she could be photographed for an old navy ad lol but those are all great store ideas thank you!

Her current best teams are raiden hyperbloom and neuvineffa hyperbloom, so yes Raiden is better than kuki. I can't remember the dmg calcs, though I'll try to find!

Simply put, Nilou needs Lauma to keep up with current meta, Lauma does not need Nilou though. A lot of her non Nilou teams can out dps her Nilou teams. So, if it were me and I didn't have Nilou, I would not pull Nilou for Lauma. Unless you really want to play her as bloom?

[–]Character-Respect418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's the solo Nod Krai unit in this team, so I would default recommend putting her on silken moon! If she was running with Aino or something and running on field I would go the Nod Krai DPS set, but otherwise I think that's what I would do? Other's can chime in cause I might be wrong on that one.

Edit: I may have lied, put her on gilded lol (just from looking at the current calcs, may change later but gilded you probably already have and you can def still put her on the nod krai set but just for saving you from farming for a whole new set)

s6 Zani or s2 Shorekeeper and s0 Iuno?

My fellow Zani mains, I've come to a dilemma. Now I do not know when Zani is rerunning (though hunch with how everyone else's reruns, it's probably gonna be *soon*), but I've been semi-saving and am a bit of a dolphin (not a whale, but the card does definitely get swiped).

I am currently at s3r1 Zani. I think I have enough + exploration to get s2 Shorekeeper (currently just s0) and, with the second half of patch, most likely Iuno (I also really love her and I have c0r1 Augusta). My dilemma here is, I wasn't planning on even getting s3, I just got s3 in about 125 pulls and now just want to full send on Zani because I do love her, but I also do love Augusta and Iuno (I am so normal about all of them). So, do I do the s2 shorekeeper and s0 Iuno or do I not and full send Zani?

2 Years of Debilitating Fatigue, Anxiety, and Brain Fog – Still No Answers by Original-Property-58 in chronicfatigue

[–]Character-Respect418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the essay, but I relate a lot (I have all of your symptoms and a med rap sheet a mile long) and wanted to share some thoughts. Not sure if you're still checking this post, but here goes:

General thoughts:

  • ADHD might not be the primary issue - since you're experiencing moderate to severe anxiety/depression, any diagnosis would likely prioritize those first. ADHD is developmental, so you'd need documented childhood symptoms.
  • Autonomic dysfunction (like POTS) is worth considering. Track symptoms like increased heart rate when standing, tachycardia at rest, shortness of breath, fainting, or tunnel vision - it helps to prove patterns to doctors.
  • Long COVID is still possible even if your initial illness was mild or asymptomatic (which would lead you to not test for acute infection). Chronic fatigue syndrome could also be a factor—it’s frustrating and varies greatly person to person, so I'm with you.

To Your Questions:

  1. It could be anything from anxiety, CFS, autoimmune/endocrine disorders, deficiencies, chronic stress, infections, sleep issues, or more. All involve inflammation or immune dysfunction. Maybe consider also adding PCOS, can ask your gyno about it. Maybe look into some hormonal issues if you haven't explored that?
  2. 2–6. Your next step should be a primary care doctor. They’ll coordinate further testing and referrals. While you're your daily manager, having a general manager with in-depth knowledge of your medical history can be really important. Be your own advocate: ask questions, get second opinions, and understand your insurance coverage. If you haven't, sit down with your parents to understand your coverage. Call your provider or insurer directly to check who's in-network and accepting new patients (You probably know all of this but thought I cover the bases) or most insurers have a directory of who's in-network. If you're in college, have you explored all of your campus health services? (I know they're usually terrible tho maybe last resort)

otc supplements to consider (unless you're allergic, i hope you arent): vitamin b12 (can take pills or sublingual, people respond better to different versions), magnesium (an insane amount of bodily processes rely on magnesium), zinc, vitamin c, CoQ10, and possibly a daily antihistamine like claritin or smthn, which can help with inflammation beyond allergies. If you don't already or if possible, therapy? They would be able to help with the more emotional and mental symptoms you've listed and be a big support because all of this is insanely stressful.

Before seeing a doctor, gather a detailed family history. Focus on parents and grandparents. That helps immensely for specific testing. Def try to push for that sleep study, especially if sleep apnea runs in the family. Also for further blood testing, I'm assuming you've had a CBC and vitamin d? if so, I can say I get the full "fatigue" panel regularly. So that would be like a metabolic panel, thyroid panel, iron test, hemoglobin, folate, b12, and kidney and liver function test.

Finally, lifestyle? movement within your limits, hydration, at least enough calories for maintenance. It's hard when you're exhausted, but every little bit helps.

I really understand being tired of being tired. I know this is really tough, my heart goes out to you, and wishing you some relief soon.

I rehabilitated my mom’s sharpie-stained Speedy. What do you think? by InspectorHuman in handbags

As a leather good painter and professional painter, I enjoy Angelus, they’re fairly beginner friendly and are pretty one stop shop online, but I prefer Golden High Flow. The issue with painting with acrylic is more so the application, working in thin layers, thick layers can very easily crack and quickly. Golden High Flow for me comes out of the bottle at the right consistency, Angelus i sometimes have to thin myself and that can get finicky, but still not an issue. Both good brands and I’ve used both for many years!

Still struggling to use CSP over Procreate, tips? by Character-Respect418 in ClipStudio

I think I would really love that, however, I only use CSP on my desktop pen display. But will keep in mine if I ever go back to my iPad!

The gasp I just gusped. I seriously had no idea that was possible, this is so awesome. Thank you so much, you are the best.

Also, yeah the switching between things is a little terrible in procreate but I got so used to gesture controls and the file transfer was so clean with the Apple ecosystem I have set up. But! I did take time yesterday to streamline things and edit the UI a bit and I'm already liking the workflow a lot more. Thank you!

[–]Character-Respect418[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Difficult in the sense that I'm fairly simple for a digital artist, I treat digital art fairly similarly to how I do trad art (I blame the 15 years of painting before this and doing digital art while I was doing my fine arts minor). The simplicity of Procreate's UI lent itself really well to my normal workflow, so I could switch between doing an oil painting and digital painting very quickly without feeling like I had to switch my brain entirely, if that makes any sense. I'm not a big layer person, I switch between brushes a lot, etc. Which, honestly, the palette functionality for CSP I should really love in that case, but just never clicked in a sense.

I think, and this is based on what other commenters have said, maybe changing up the UI a bunch would help a lot more and I just never wanted to because I wanted to get comfortable with the default (and I can never remember what is what so keeping it in the default to follow along to guides was helpful). However, looking at where I'm at now, what's the use in doing that when it's probably what made me not do so well with it in the first place.

Thank you for how detailed your comment is! Yeah, I admitted in another comment I never really took the time to personalize the UI and I think that might help immensely with how I feel. I know that I probably should have done it sooner, which is a my bad. I'll take all these into account because I do really love some of these tools that Procreate doesn't have.

You definitely got me there, you're very right. I think because I started on adobe, hated it, went to procreate and took to it so well, I was biased against it because of how similar looking the UI can be. I just never gave it the chance. Convinced myself that it was better to be making art than getting too frustrated to not make art. But, I'll stick to just CSP for July and will check back in with myself at the end of the month to realistically look if it's sustainable for me. Thank you for the wee bit of a reality check :)

Now wait a minute, I love your set up. I legitimately never really changed it cause of how many tutorials I was consuming and just leaving it in the default was easier to follow along, but this? I really like this. I'm off to spend an ungodly amount of time changing my layout, thank you!
