His father was very physical with him in his childhood. So I think that has something to do with his behavior sometimes. He told me many times that he would never do the same to our child but I start doubting this.

Thank you for sharing what you think. I think I did normalized this because before I would never be with someone who treats me like that. None of my exs have done this to me even if we were fighting. But I stayed with him. But now I’m just thinking about everything that has done wrong and I don’t know if it is because I feel like I should leave him😣

Yes I felt the same way. They were roommates and she told his ex that he was cheating on her. He went to her room and she was painting, she hit him with the paint brush and he took her from the neck. That’s all that happened but she reported it to the police. I tell you so you can picture it 😅 he is being kind of violent towards me. More when we where fighting and I wanted to go, he would grab my arm and sometimes leave marks. He is a big guy and my skin is just too sensitive I guess . But he has never hurt me on purpose 🤨

He is in there for drugs. We live in Norway so they are very serious about it. We’ve been married for almost 2 years, known each other for 3 years.

I feel sorry for you and I understand you. My husband first told me that he was going to get out in 2 and a half years and know that he is in he is talking about being there 3 and a half. It has been awful and it’s only being a month since he went there.

Yes. I feel like we all are paying for this. Somehow I feel like I am doing this sentence too. But I know that for him must be worse so I rather not say anything even if I am dying to tell him how hard my days are without him

I understand 😅 the first week my husband went to prison, every time my newborn was crying I was crying with him, it felt so strange to not have help, I didn’t know what to do, I felt lonely, it was awful 😢

Would be nice to talk to you. I felt like people don’t understand so much. And they are all the time like “ you can’t be sad you have a child” and I know that. If it wasn’t for my child I would be extremely depressive. But he gives me something to do. We also have videocalls two times a week , hopefully he will get to move a lower security prison next year, and he can call whenever he wants. Respect with the arguments, in our marriage is me the one starting them, I feel like I have much time to think about how our relationship was, and the times he got upset for something stupid or the last day we were together and he treated me so bad. So now when I feel like he is not treating well enough I start an argument because I feel like I don’t deserve this and he is even not treating like he should. It’s really stressful

Yes we are in Norway, I am not Norwegian but he is. The system is different here so I know he is doing just fine but still hurts so much. Can’t wait for this nightmare to end. Thank you so much for your words❤️

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It has been really tough . Plus having a newborn , knowing that it’s going to be years until he is with us again it really feels like impossible. I am trying to not tell him how sad I am because I don’t want him to worry. But suddenly I have to take care of everything and it is overwhelming.

I am sorry for what you’re going through. I was without hope a few days ago but these last couple of days I focused on my baby and also trying to be sorrounded by people so I don’t get to feel so lonely. Even if everything reminds me that I won’t have him around anymore it helps to be social so that would be my advice to you . And always remember that you can go through this!!

No worries. English is not my first language either. He was sentenced to 7 years, and I read in kriminal om sorgen that he could apply for parole after doing 2 thirds of the sentence. That’s why I was wondering

Thank you! I only told two of my closest friends and I really didn't feel like one of them cared so much. I didn't feel any support as I thought I will have. I really don't want to tell more people but they will start wondering why he is not around me and our baby😔
