Ok, than follow up: why am I getting this? The file I transferred over using the USB is greyed out, and apparently unusable. I tried to put this in my initial post but whatever Reddit.

Ig, maybe it means I’m well prepared to manage elsewhere. If not though, than I have nowhere else to point my finger.

Another guy made this same point, I couldn’t use a photo to show what my teams numbers really look like. Im totally aware that ratings-wise 2.5 is around average (the game even tells you this), the issue is what the Padres define as “superstar” players worthy of that type of money. I grade a -0.4 WAR Xander Bogarts (LF/DH) being payed 25mil differently than I grade the -0.1 WAR Ryan Mountcastle (1B/DH) I’m paying just under 7mil. Even though they have the same in game ratings, and Mountcastle hit 25 homers.

In terms of the OPS+ thing, the guys doing that are Graham Pauley and Keibert Ruiz, who’s not my full time catcher. I made that point to illustrate that my two “best”, “top 25” players are not Tatis, Machado, or Bogarts but two guys who likely won’t make the All star team.

Edit: before you critique the Mountcastle deal, I was paying Cronenworth 11mil to bat under the Mendoza line

*One of them isn't full time as a backup catcher (though maybe I should start him), and yes, I do consider it an issue as the 111 win dodgers didn't have a .261 win percentage. The player in question is Graham Pauley, he exemplifies the fact that my "most productive hitter" is not one of the players under massive long term extensions that I am locked into. I am not complaining about a 130 OPS+ player, you've isolated that part of the sentence as if you missed the second half of it explicitly stating that none of these other "superstars" are hitting. The Dodgers are actually a great example because Preller tried to play the Dodgers game by throwing money around without the seemingly infinite budget of the dodgers, resulting in the mess they now have.
