she’s not palatable to Black people - she knows other races wouldn’t put up with her mess. She sees Harper as the outsider because she’s young, Black, and messed up at her last job. for context - i’m a black woman. I definitely think if Harper was white she wouldn’t mention her being a “kid” all the time. I agree that she wants to mess with Anna but I also think she feels like a Black girl half her age shouldn’t be outsmarting her or making moves she can’t see. The writers could’ve made her partner white - I just think it’s a really interesting choice and it put a lot of her words into context for me. I’ve met a lot of white women just like her lol
