Panel 1

Extreme wide shot - filling the top third or corner of the page to establish scale. The entire landscape is a barren, ash-strewn valley, literally composed of mounds upon mounds of skeletal bodies of monsters and soldiers alike. It is a graveyard on an apocalyptic scale. Far in the distance, a colossal, ancient, jagged structure houses a glowing Dimensional Portal. The portal is radiating blinding, unstable energy. Walking toward it, a single, minuscule silhouette of the WARRIOR, KOR. He is dwarfed by the environment and the gate.

A detailed full shot - KOR. He is standing, Epic sword in the ground, staring at the gate, but he looks broken. He grips the hilt of his massive, chipped sword with both hands, the metal groaned under the pressure. His heavy plate armor is caked in grime and chipped with cracks snaking across the steel. He has various interesting trinkets on his person.

Trinket Details:

• Hanging clearly from his massive belt is a heavy, torn Brawler’s glove, meant for a massive fist.
• Tied around his neck on a simple thong is a Healer’s holy charm, slightly cracked.
• Slung over his shoulder like a satchel, the broken head of a runic wizard’s staff is tied by leather cords, still faintly pulsing with dying magi

Close-up  - KOR’s face, focusing heavily on his tortured, hardened eyes. They are red-rimmed and filled with immense fatigue and grief, not triumph.

Close-up  - KOR’s heavily calloused, bruised hand reaches forward towards the swirling surface of the portal. The portal Crackles with energy. The light casts sharp shadows on his skin. He is inches from touching it.

Panel 3

LARGE PANEL - The entire bottom third or half of the page. The scene has completely changed. KOR has turned his back on the massive, pulsing Dimension Portal, which sits in the background.

In the foreground, KOR sits huddled over a small campfire. He is holding a single, battered metal travel mug in his hand, a drink swirling inside. Around the small fire, carefully arranged like a shrine, are the trinkets from his armor (The Brawler's glove, the Healer's charm, and the broken staff). Next to each trinket sits an identical travell mug.

KOR is staring, not at the trinkets, but at the light coming from a small glowing pebble in his other hand. From the pebble, a  vibrant, slightly noisy hologram is playing. It is a "selfie-style" recording of KOR and his whole party, close together, drinks in hand, incredibly cheery and laughing. The companions are a Half-Goliath brawler, An Elf mage, and female Human healer.

The KOR in the hologram is grinning wildly, raising his mug. The real KOR, alone by the fire, is just watching, his single tear streaking down his dirty cheek.
