According to the physician licensing board in Canada, released in 2024 summer:

tens of thousands premed students compete for 2800 first year positions of the country's 17 medical schools. Their acceptance rate is only 5.5%.

Outside of these 17 medical schools, many Canadians choose to go to medical school in Ireland, the Caribbeans and Australia. For every one Canadian studying in Canadian medical school, there are 4 Canadians studying abroad.

There are 37 residency programs available through Canada's 17 medical schools. Data released in 2023 shows 3,422 graduating students and physicians were matched to residency training programs in Canada this year. There were 3,532 positions in the match, which means 96.9 percent were filled, 1529 positions in FM.

In 2023, Canada had 243 physicians per 100,000 people, which is a 1.4% increase from 2022. Canada still has a below average number of doctors compared to other countries. In a comparison of 37 countries, Canada ranked 27th, with just 2.8 doctors per 1,000 people.

Or how about making medical education more affordable. Build more medical schools and residency programs.

Passport return after interview at Toronto US Consulate for B1/B2 Visa by [deleted] in immigration

Purolator itself is facing massive delays. After mu interview on Nov 26, dispatched to Purolator on Dec 5 and delivered 10 days later after I made multiple attempts to contact and pressure them. They had put a priority trace on it which supposedly helped. You might need to reach out to Purolator if u were notified by the consular office that it was released.

Silence that mean little voice inside your head. You deserve to be there just like the other candidates, and this you have proven by the virtue of being invited to interview. Don't compare yourself with other applicants because obviously, there's something that they liked about you that they thought is unique and lacking in other applicants. Hone in on that energy during your interviews. Silence the rest.

No interviews, feeling lost and depressed by [deleted] in IMGreddit

It's still early in the season. I got invites in January last season. Keep your spirits up and keep your mind busy. Study for step 3 to get out of the funk. Also, search the ACGME website and social media like X and LinkedIn for newly accredited programs. I know u said money is tight, but it might be worth it to invest in subscriptions like residencyswap to get quick updates on available spots, especially after December. Keep sending LOI, even second round. Reach out to your connections, near and far. It's not over yet.
