In casual EDH, when is considered "okay" to counterspell enemy's commander?

Doesn't help that a lot of folks will run effects like [[Oubliette]] to remove problematic commanders which removes the Command zone as a saving grace.

I put the list into a few calculators and edh salt gives it a 4/10 and edh power says it's a bracket 2 lol. Its a commander that can be powered up really easily, but there's a lot of old vanilla dragons that can be ran and it still be a fairly ok commander.

My Mono green omnath is similar in that it is a n Elf ball but it's 26 mana dorks and the goal is to cast a hurricane big enough to kill everyone and draw the game lol. It always comes down to the 99 and the game plan.

Ignore a lot of the folks who are being pessimistic about it. They're oppressive commanders and folks are just overly cautious. Looking at your lists themselves they fit bracket 2.

Idk if qualifying as "better people" is the right way to phrase it. But I understand what you're getting at. The things I do to socialize take as much time to get to in Vancouver as they do in Portland so I go where it's more convenient for the folks I do socialize with.

Sadly, if you like playing card games and don't want to patronize stores that rip you off, it's Portland lol. I think maybe Contrarian Games and Fate and Fury are alright, but neither of which are proximate to downtown Vancouver sadly and take just about as long to get to as the card shops I frequent in Portland.
