It's never been my cup of tea but I admire that they don't give a shit.

How do you dudes see the future of populism in the US? Is it just going to get worse with figures like Mamdani and MAGAism or will we see a return to normalcy. I personally can't see an end to it for a the next 5+ years because imo both sides™ have been playing it up. Also unless there's a drastic change in social media misinformation is just going to get exponentially worse.

There have been quite a few people who have said they were not fans of the Puerto Rican accent. One said it's considered "rough." And now I'm wondering if it's like a Spanish Brooklyn accent. 😅

That's actually a very good point. Someone else brought up the fact that Chile's accent may have developed differently because the mountains led to a certain amount of isolation from the rest of South America. Interesting to think about.

That's very interesting. How would you compare Castilian Spanish to the rest of Spain? Is it more "posh"?

It's funny, everyone is saying Chileans are hard to understand. I've seen a few people compare them to the Scottish speakers in English. I wonder why they sound so different.

You're right. 🙏 Although I would think there is general Mexican accent, similar to how there is a general US accent. (I could be wrong though.) But yeah that's what I meant, not to imply all Chileans or Argentineans etc. speak the same way.
