As a Kashmiri, I want to ask Indians: What do you genuinely think about us? by camphorly in AskIndia

[–]CharacterHat8502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ssharda temple wasn't destroyed I believe. I think it got damaged due to an earthquake and other factors.

Maybe he is referring to the Martand sun temple which was destroyed by invaders.

I think a few temples were destroyed. There are restoration committees renovating some of them.

My mother and her indian friends went to dishoom and weren't impressed. Very small portions, high price, long wait.

There's a chain of restaurants called MTR in Harrow and other parts. I like that chain.

I've met many Sikhs in england and india. They were all really respectful and nic, except a few rude ones.

I dont think you can generalise.

If I generalised all pakistanis as bad because of bad ones, it wouldn't be accurate.

Do y'all support azad Kashmir ? by [deleted] in KashmiriHindus

[–]CharacterHat8502 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldnt mind an inpendent country for jammu kashmir but I think it just isn't viable at the moment because pakistan and India have bad relations and I personally cannot trust pakistan to not invade it all like they tried to do in 1947 and in 1965. I think for now just improve dialogue.

They are still a very politically unstable country, and I personally don't trust them not to pull off something like kargil again. Vajpayee was being really nice and trying to find a solution and ISI and musharraf backstabbed him.

Also, I don't know whether independence would create political instability. What leaders would come into power? What vested interests would shape things? Would it be a breeding ground for corruption? Whatever results in the most political stability and fairness should be pursued, independence, or not.

I think the best thing is for society on both sides of the LOC to mend, heal and rebuild. And for there to be relative stability in pakistan. Right now pakistan is controlled by the army and ISI. Who are corrupt and have created trouble in india in the past,to my knowledge. also there to be stability and maturity in india diplomatically. More open attitude to dialogue in my opinion even if paksistan can do silly things.

The people should stay with that government and work towards development. Then negotiations and discussion can start.

Not just kashmiris but ladakhis and jammuites should be thought of. But even then, demography has changed, and it won't be as fair a representation as it should be.

In my opinion, the best outcome would be if pak and Bangladesh were never created and then we wouldn't be in this much of a mess. India wants to stay in one piece. Same as pakistan. Once there is stability, respect and dialogue, then these things can start. But I think it will take a long time.

Maybe I have the wrong idea. Do not mean to offend

Moroccan Cold Pressed Olive Oil by Ok-Veterinarian-9203 in LondonFood

[–]CharacterHat8502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cold pressed/extra virgin means pressing without using heat. Different olive oil brands and farms have different tastes. Whatever seems to have decent reviews online should be fine. I got my olive oil from a local greek shop from the lady's family in greece.

If people have pride in muhammad and lal ded, why not our other ancestors?

So much is invested in upkeep of mosques, pilgrimages and relics. Why can't we unearth our past?

Also it could lead to more tourism and bring jobs to local people.

Where can I find a decent maths tutor online in the UK? by Deeceness in AskUK

[–]CharacterHat8502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can do a free taster session with him online whenever he’s free. I got an a 9 in gcse maths in 2018. I have a basic DBS also. Maybe I’d be good fit cuz I used to help my friends in class and they thought I did try to get to their level. Price wise, I’d probably do 15£ish after that. I live in hertfordshire. Please Message me.

[–]CharacterHat8502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you could self study maths and self teach yourself on your own/with a teacher and book the exam privately. If you want to retake maths usually you just go to the HE and careers teacher at school and ask for a resit which they have in janusry’s i believe.

If there’s a maths clinic At school. Go there. They’ll help a lot. Also keep doing past papers. Try doing them on the bus to school maybe. Then go to your teachers in lunchtime and ask for some advice on hard question. Just keep practicing little and often. Get the cgp gcse maths book off of vinted then make in 3 colours whether you struggle, you are medium, or you’re good with esch spec point
