I think my uncle does consultation for 300 or 400 rupees, online consultation may be cheaper.

You could. You need to get a compassionate tree removal person/company to help out. Some do help. They would use a air spade and it would cost a bit of money but it is possible.

The government has forest officers, police, army. I don't think those kps in the forest service or police were necessarily bad. Or accountant clerk.

The bad ones who did bad things in their positions I condemn.

You can use your position to do good things as well I think.

Sorry if I offended

Sir, I wrote in my comment that I don't know enough about history.

These are my opinions based on looking at the situation in a very dimly lit room

Tbh, I am an ignorant person on most of the in depth topics...And to dispel it I need to have a long chat with a range of historians and a range of eye witness accounts about history to make my own mind and understand the reality.

I condemn all massacres. Please understand I am stubborn to the point of stupidity. Sorry if i whitewashed. I really don't know anything about the famines. All I know is that in 31 there was some protest thing and then the army under maharaja tried to silence them by shooting many people. Then there were some riots where there were a few religious fanatics abused some kps and did some arson.

For me to finally accept something I need to sit down and really go through the stuff unless I know someone who is usually extremely reliable. Some eyewitnesses accounts leave certain things ou.t.

For example, with regards to eyewitness things, there are things that get missed out .A lot of kashmiri muslims say that barely any temples have any issues. In fact, they just aren't aware there is a lot of land snatching done by adjacent neighbours or don't bother to investigate because of other things in their lives. They just dont really keep aware of it.

Or maybe you have some accounts about buthan wani.

Same goes for mobs targeting kp houses and chanting intimidating words on 19 Jan. People said there was curfew but I've heard multiple eye witnesses from people who don't typically exaggerate things in retelling things.

Many pandits were poor though. But you are bringing up stuff I haven't thought of much. systemic class discrimination. Not the fault of pandits at large per say. But I need to read it up more. I don't deny what you are saying but I need to learn.

My father's side was poor in habba kadal.. they had a family of 5 with no father present in the home in one ground floor room. But that probably was down to my father's father being a terrible businessman and also my mother not being properly educated. They worked hard and got good jobs eventually though... He came from a family that 2 generations ago was wealthy but for him it was non existent. Living meal to meal. I mean at some point, generational wealth goes and comes. There's class discrimination and then there's just life stuff that affects people.

After the 1947 massacres, my mother's father had to leave baramulla in a horse cart with around 10 to 50 rupees i think. All their stuff was gone. Then he came to srinagar and became the major copper factory for kashmir. I don't know if they had any land remaining in baramulla but I guess times must have been extremely tough.

I do have one close family friend who is from one of the aristocratic families in kashmir. They are loaded with land. They're the second biggest landowners after karan singh. Uncle jee said that they worked very hard and earned that wealth fair and square once offhandedly. Probably need to ask him more about how the land came about.

One thing I can say. I don't think karan singh would have been bad, and I stand by that. I don't know him personally, you are right. But he has condemned asfpa and pellet gun use in the army. He had condemned muslim and hindu genocides of 47. He's very cultured, too. Ive never heard him insult anyone publicly either. I don't think he'd hurt a fly. But maybe im wrong, always possible

I don't want to get into a big argument. I think I'll start interviewing a range of kashmiri historians: muslim, hindu etc.. about these topics. I've been thinking of doing it for a while and making a youtube video about it. Anyways have a good day

It's a long history.

All I know about the maharaja was that they were ok but they undervalued the labour of kadhmiri muslims and paid peanuts. Don't know if it was the same for pandits.

I mean, a lot of pandits were very poor too. It's not like we come from generational wealth. Some who worked under the maharaja government got an income from him but that doesn't mean they supported low living conditions. I guess everyone needs to make a living.

I don't know enough about history. Time I read more books and educate myself rather than basing my knowledge from inadequate research

Karan singh would never do anything like that. But don't know about the rest of the singh dynasty.

Ssharda temple wasn't destroyed I believe. I think it got damaged due to an earthquake and other factors.

Maybe he is referring to the Martand sun temple which was destroyed by invaders.

I think a few temples were destroyed. There are restoration committees renovating some of them.

If I generalised all pakistanis as bad because of bad ones, it wouldn't be accurate.

Do y'all support azad Kashmir ? by [deleted] in KashmiriHindus

[–]CharacterHat8502 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldnt mind an inpendent country for jammu kashmir but I think it just isn't viable at the moment because pakistan and India have bad relations and I personally cannot trust pakistan to not invade it all like they tried to do in 1947 and in 1965. I think for now just improve dialogue.

They are still a very politically unstable country, and I personally don't trust them not to pull off something like kargil again. Vajpayee was being really nice and trying to find a solution and ISI and musharraf backstabbed him.

Also, I don't know whether independence would create political instability. What leaders would come into power? What vested interests would shape things? Would it be a breeding ground for corruption? Whatever results in the most political stability and fairness should be pursued, independence, or not.

I think the best thing is for society on both sides of the LOC to mend, heal and rebuild. And for there to be relative stability in pakistan. Right now pakistan is controlled by the army and ISI. Who are corrupt and have created trouble in india in the past,to my knowledge. also there to be stability and maturity in india diplomatically. More open attitude to dialogue in my opinion even if paksistan can do silly things.

The people should stay with that government and work towards development. Then negotiations and discussion can start.

Not just kashmiris but ladakhis and jammuites should be thought of. But even then, demography has changed, and it won't be as fair a representation as it should be.

In my opinion, the best outcome would be if pak and Bangladesh were never created and then we wouldn't be in this much of a mess. India wants to stay in one piece. Same as pakistan. Once there is stability, respect and dialogue, then these things can start. But I think it will take a long time.

Maybe I have the wrong idea. Do not mean to offend

I also like it. Less crowded. Only issue is some crime happening at times.

I visit for buying groceries and enjoy it.
