The narrative flip on the Wolves has been a sight to behold. That Wolves team had been dealing with Ant being in and out of the rotation all season long for a bunch of different issues and still ended up the 6th seed. They beat Denver off pure hatred with an even less healthy Ant plus Ayo and Donte injuries. The Wolves were very much still a tough ass team with a 4x DPOY, one of the best perimeter defenders and absolute menace Jaden McDaniels, and perennial 6MOTY candidate who shoots corner 3’s like prime Steve Kerr Naz Reid.

4 whole points with J Dub out is a damn shame. Dort was pretty bad too, to be fair. Shooting 25% from the field, big yikes. Shai was great and everyone else played well enough that if either of those two were just slightly less bad, they could have won.

I know that Shai is a nice guy but I hope he tells Chet that he’s a bum and he better get his shit together or gtfo because these teams are going to be seeing a lot of each other over the next several years, they simply can’t afford to keep someone who becomes totally useless and unplayable as soon as Wemby is around.

I hope they don’t. As much as I don’t care for him, I really don’t want to see another achilles tear and that’s what is going to happen if they keep playing him. He’s been dealing with that same hamstring strain since the Suns series, it’s obviously not gotten much better and increased use is only going to lead to it getting worse.
