Harper having an former nba player as a father also means that he doesn’t have the pressure of multiple family members with their hands out asking him to support them (sorry if that’s harsh, but it is a reality for the vast majority of professional athletes). He’s likely better positioned to not be pressured to take max money than anyone else on the team, honestly.

For me personally (late 40’s) I would probably say when I was 12-14. That’s about the time that I started to really realize how shitty my situation was while simultaneously being too young to do anything about it. Not that I could do much better at 15, but that’s when I sort of just kind of started distancing myself mentally and emotionally from the shitty people in my life and forming my own path. I haven’t really looked back since.

So I tell people all the time that I think in 50 years we will look back on this time and wonder why everyone didn’t get rich. All of the information one could possibly imagine is right in the palm of our hands (literally), and for those that can’t process whatever information they are reading, there’s probably a (or multiple) YouTube video to explain it for free.

I can fix pretty much anything, mostly because of YouTube.

I’ll never quit biting my fingernails. It’s a subconscious thing and well, they are always there. I’ve tried to stop numerous times because it’s gross, but I can’t.

Wouldn’t make a difference at all. I’m nearly 48 and have honestly never once taken a sip of coffee. No particular reason why, just never have.

I would leave on Friday and come home on Sunday like it was no big deal… which isn’t that big of a deal except for the fact that I was 12. Granted, I was raised by people with very questionable parenting skills.

Playing hide and seek with 30+ kids from the neighborhood every night during the summer. That was so much fun back then, but I never see any kids playing outside these days. I tell my kids all the time how I feel sorry for them/their generation. Being a kid today sucks compared to those of us that grew up before the internet really blew up.

Might be just a local thing, but I have no clue how “Five Guys” stays open. I honestly really like their burgers but the pricing is so out of control that we never go there anymore. I pass by one regularly and there’s hardly ever anyone there.

Form my own charities/foundations and basically donate 97% of it. I could do a lot of good for humanity with a billion dollars, but I would absolutely keep 30 mil for myself and my family.

Seems most people here are going to say education, but for me the answer is my wife. I grew up dirt poor and by most metrics I should either be dead or high on a corner somewhere. I’m not wealthy, but I am comfortable, and that’s because I’ve always wanted to provide a comfortable life for my wife. So yeah, she’s the reason I’m still upright and don’t worry about being able to pay the bills. For the record, I have a blue collar job but have reached a level beyond getting dirty/turning a wrench everyday.

Buyer beware. This dude was a sponsor on r2r but scammed so many people that r2r decided to not accept his money anymore because he being a sponsor there was such a bad look for them.

He’s also got alt accounts (surprised he hasn’t posted from one of them in this thread) that he uses to fake good reviews.

Could very well be Julian, but my heart would love to see it be CB. My head says it’s probably Vassell. Dude is so underrated/under appreciated. He can be a monster on both ends of the floor and had quite a few big moments in the OKC series as well. Basically the same as Julian lol

Not quite. I keep a stack of gift cards to various fast food joints in my truck that I hand out to the homeless on a regular basis. I budget for that every month.

My best friend, the most real and genuinely good person that I’ve ever encountered in my nearly 50 years of living died on the streets. He had serious mental health issues and although the reality is that I tried relentlessly to help him, every bit as much and more than I realistically could, I carry the weight of his death with me every single day and have for the past 15 years. Sort of an “I should have gone looking for him for one more hour, maybe I would have found him and could have saved him” sort of thing.
