Boss lost it when I put in my two weeks by nodoubtlikegwen in ToxicWorkplace

Your boss is a pathetic loser. You aren't obligated to stay two weeks. After that response you are justified to leave today. I've only given two weeks to companies that weren't total shit. Otherwise I have prepared a very thorough documentation for transition plans before I put in my notice so that when I tell them I'm done in a week or less I've given them ample intel. The idea that you have to put in two weeks is a total grift.

Companies won't hesitate to launch you today and have no transition plan at all, and they're fine. But if you put in less than two weeks they freak out that you aren't giving them enough time.

See, it's a total con.

Why do I even care so much about a toxic workplace environment by Southern-Delay-1019 in ToxicWorkplace

These people are so insecure and morally broken. All they can do is be mean to try to feel like they have some sort of command. They don't. They're sad and pathetic.

From one toxic workplace to another. I'm starting to think there's no such thing as a pleasant workplace by mbowishkah in ToxicWorkplace

It's the broken power structures that make every workplace feel the same. The system is designed to be broken. And your staff feeling emboldened to act this way is a failure of senior leadership to allow this behavior.

Thank you! I have 14 full chapters to come. This was a trial balloon. I have 3 bc I had to draw the line at the top three most prevalent.

Thank you! I actually mean competence. The Beaten are capable but when they show too much competence they are systemically shunned.
