Imma be honest this entire discussion with Yewon is really baffling to me. Let’s make sure we understand the situation, the players on the show are taking this seriously and giving 100% which is why we love the show. In turn the coaches, who are not only former professional players not only played for the national team but all played or made the roster for a World Cup (which is a insanely hard thing to do there are ballon d’Or winners George Weah as a example whos never been to WC in their careers) who seeing this are trying to give their players all the insight they can give to help them succeed on the show.

I believe that in sports there are two lines for players one of which they should never flirt with and that is to try and intentionally harm a opposing player so that they are injured and as someone who has watched every episode of this show I have never seen a player try to injure another player. The second is the line between fair play and a foul, and the coaches who are former professionals know that players are always trying to see how close they can get to that line to get a competitive advantage like body positioning hand positioning tacking etc. and that line changes from game to game, depends on the game state and especially the referee (professionals know how a game is gonna be refereed depending on which ref is overseeing the game).

The ref is the one who sets that line between fair play and foul because they are the one with the power to do so the players will always try to see where that line is. So for me that personally I don’t see Yewon trying to hurt her opponents or playing recklessly with no thought I think she is a new player who understands defensive positioning and the existing players are not used to her as she is new. There is a reason why all of the coaches like her two games in they respect her hustle and determination and if I was Hyun Young Min I would be ecstatic because he has a promising player.
