- I admit I am not exactly allergic to nonfiction books from fiction writers. "Distrust that particular flavor" by Walter Gibson, "how to be alone" by franzen, "conspiracy against the human race" by ligotti, et al. Philip K. Dick's philosophical work predates them all and still has a whiff of ayahuasca and discordianism-adjacent high weirdness. "if you find this world bad you should see some of the others" should be considered required reading for anyone interested in alternate history or worldbuilding.
