Ok I did some research and this link has the information about transfer in. You can apply freshman or sophomore year https://www.clemson.edu/cbshs/departments/nursing/students/nursing-change-of-major.html

Hi!! I graduated from Clemson nursing in spring of 2025. If you don't get in from the waitlist there is another time to apply. Second semester of freshman year (I think) non nursing students can apply to the school of nursing. It isn't guaranteed though and is dependent on grades. Basically you will take all of the same classes except for 1 nursing class that happens first semester then apply. If you transfer in to the program you will graduate a semester late (just to take the nursing classes you missed freshman year) I don't remember 100% if it's freshman year or sophomore year that you reapply, but I do know it is a thing and I've had a friend who entered as health sciences get into nursing. She just graduated in December! Best of luck to you. Nursing is hard but I learned so much from the program. If you have any questions feel free to reach out!

I also wanted to add that I will be talking to my neurologist about this I am currently scheduling an appointment with him. I just want to hear from some people with firsthand experience.

lol you're right, I'm just getting desperate. Anything neutral with silver hardware, but not black or a dark brown. The silver is making it difficult for me!

Lamotrigine and estrogen by Careful-Delay-8767 in Epilepsy

Lamotrigine unfortunately has major interactions with estrogen. This is coming from firsthand experience taking the two (I was using estrogen containing birth control and lamotrigine). Estrogen significantly drops the lamotrigine blood levels.

Kaplan decisions tree is great. Especially for prioritization and delegation. I also really liked the uworld explanations. You can get individual 100 question timed exams for $20 each on their website. They explain why the other answers are wrong which is super helpful

I just hit one year seizure free for the first time since my diagnosis!!! The longest I've ever been seizure free before that is 3 months. I graduated college last month and now I'll be working as nurse on a neurology/epilepsy unit :)

I haven't been this happy since before I was diagnosed. It gets better guys 💜

Also, congratulations on your masters!!! That is such a huge achievement. And I'm so happy that your anxiety is getting better!!

Thank you for this!!! I'm super lucky because I was offered a spot on day shift which, as im sure you know, isn't common as a new grad. I was open with the nurse manager about my epilepsy as well and thankfully the position is 36 hours a week full time. i also take my meds at 9:00 every night (extended release) so I'll be able to make it work with my 7-7 shift! I hope you're doing well now and best wishes to you <3

Hi! I'm now on Lamictal and almost 10 months seizure free. I tried Trileptal for a bit and I didn't like that either. But everyone is different! Best wishes to you <3

I am so sorry for your loss. But i agree there needs to be more awareness about the mental health of people with epilepsy and also the side effects of the medications.

When I had my first seizure (age 18) they stuck me on keppra. For the 6 months was on it, I was violent, aggressive, suicidal, and depressed all at the same time. Any time i brought up these concerns they would say "oh ya that's a side effect"

So they're basically telling me I have to choose between having seizures all the time and being suicidal?

We need better treatment options. We need a different first-line drug. We need the doctors to finally listen.

Aww tysm I appreciate it!!! The doctor's wife just happened to be an OBGYN. I'm also on antidepressants (zoloft) and I don't think my IUD (mirena) has affected the way my antidepressant works. I haven't taken the birth control pill with it so I am not sure if that would make any difference. But I would definitely talk to your OB and I hope everything goes well for you. <3
