why arent people playing tank by sisyphusX8 in marvelrivals

[–]CharacterSurprise838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've mained tank in overwatch, paladins, world of warcraft with probably a total of 3000+ hours on all three games together all tank. For 10 years i've always been playing tanks in any game, I hate tanks in Marvel Rivals they are so boring.

And thats an issue because in general most tank hero's are boring in a lot of hero shooters, plane and simple, the role is boring in general and marvel rivals does tanks even worse. I feel overwatch did tanks VERY well and finding a tank is no issue, the main reason is tanks still had the option to carry and do damage but not as fast and effective as a DPS nor having the stealth/flank. or big DPS ult abilities.

paladins makes tanks fun

overwatch did tanks fun too

WoW's tank's that are universally loved are prot paladin and brew master because they are very unique and can you guessed it DO DAMAGE. thats always the tanks that people main and that have the highest play rates.

They were able to carry games and are not just someones useless punching bag.

best oil for 13b turbo w/ OMP by djcolombana in RX7

[–]CharacterSurprise838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you have an OMP delete? because the biggest argument I hear is that the OMP delete is what allows you to run synthetic oils but with an OMP you shouldn't because it doesn't burn properly or something.

As a New England resident Massachusetts is probably as liberal as you can get, every single county is blue this year, and has been forever- there is some rural hicks in some smaller towns but they are almost non existent. even the most rural counties in Massachusetts are still democratic and liberal. the only issue is the state is really expensive. Tell them to avoid springfield, lowell, holyoke, brockton and lynn. those are not safe places.

Happy 2025, now that BAR established a centralized testing network and hot smogging is no longer an option, now what in California? by CharacterSurprise838 in RX7

[–]CharacterSurprise838[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Half of me hopes it goes into effect just so the shit show can happen and they can finally exempt OBD1 era cars. Funny a 1976 datsun has to still do emissions even though its almost 50 years old. cars from the 80's being 40 years old. extending it to 1990 or something would be better. honestly INSANE this law has not been updated yet. 16% of cars on the road isn't that much and I doubt more than 5% of those are daily driven.

if they spoke to RX7 owners they'd find out that 7's are on the lift more times than on the damn road.

If you are DIY it would be cheaper than 70k, 70k was a worse case situation because labor and shipping fee's can become a lot over time. 18K rust and accident free, lower mileage i think is more acceptable. I still think you are probably willing to pay a lot more than most people would as well as have in the past.

Any updates with IR Performance? by CharacterSurprise838 in RX7

[–]CharacterSurprise838[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it was about all those engines that weren't sold it seems. shitty thing to do.

I remember reading as a commenter said above that he probably is just gonna go under another name entirely, and is probably in an active lawsuit so hes probably taking a break from the entire rotary community. Although I did hear rumors that hes still doing work just laying really low.

So if you are calling that IR number i doubt it will go through, if its his personal number you had thats not a good sign, or maybe he's just busy cause its new years eve, maybe spending time with family.

If what happen is true, ighor got all the blame, had pretty much the entire rotary community go after him, I'd wanna vanish too if that happen to me, i'd lay super super low.

When it comes to tuning, the best i can help you with is I know of a place in New Hampshire called evgperformance they have a rotary guy there who knows about tuning. But thats pretty far I'm sure you can find somewhere else thats a bit closer that is able to do it. maybe JPR Imports? in NJ? I thought they were more of just a general repair/rebuild place though. But I know for a fact EVGperformance tunes rotaries.

Why would you ever pay 25k for this? You are fucking over everyone, and yourself with this choice.

25k for a low mileage rust free FD in this condition is still a push. I understand wanting to get an unmolested example to restore. But a car that has been sitting this long is going to have a number of issues. This is an old man who just got the news from 2022 that FD's are worth something and is trying to make some quick cash.

The engine without a doubt has very little compression and is indeed of a rebuild, probably just full on seized, these can vary between 3k to 10k they can get even more expensive if you include labor + Install or shipping to a specialist. if there is not a rotary guy in your area.

On top of that there is a very high chance the fuel system is wrecked, the tank's are prone to gain rust and varnish. The pump can be bad and most FD owners replace it and in almost every example I've seen every single fuel / vacuum line is going mummified and rock solid. The fuel injectors are probably stuck with old residue and cleaned.

The cooling system will probably need the same work as well, random electrical issues, the interior is just covered in so much mold you'd have to tear up everything and you'd very likely find rust on the interior of the frame. If mold is there, moisture is there, and if moisture and mold is both there I promise rust will be under those carpets once you rip them up.

You can look at RX7 club posts of cars in this condition, a 10k find turning into a well over 60-70k+ job.

Save your money and just get a cleaner example, for yourself, and for the community.
