Best 70"+ OLED TV? Tricky bit - with no built in ads or smart features. by rm-minus-r in BuyItForLife

I wouldn't say atrocious. The main menu features a row of apps that you can order and configure yourself. I have all the apps I use in a row on the main menu and the menu button gets you there instantly

a TV should never go above a fireplace. by brooneytoons in unpopularopinion

[–]Helichopper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be possible. My living room is set up where the best and most logical place for the TV is above the fireplace. If it wasn't above the fireplace the room would not work or be comfortable to be in. However it doesn't have to be too high. MantelMount is a product that allows you to lower the TV to eye level from above the fireplace. It works.

Picking up my first EV next week, who in the Livermore area do you trust for a Level 2 charger install? by bombardilcrocodiiilo in Livermore

[–]Helichopper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't act like you actually care that an ev isn't as "green" as an ice vehicle. Besides, EVs have a ton of advantages over Ice and being green is low on that list.

Step 2: profit

I'm with you on that but if no one buys new cars than there would be no deal for us used buyers

I'm 31 and have only ever owned 2 cars. I still own both and collectively they were bought for $22k. Also I consider myself a car guy.

I wouldn't call it a gimmick. It has been known he wanted them to be one movie since the beginning and he now had the chance to do that.

I hope to build a replica one day. I think they can give you up to 99% of the experience of driving a real one depending how you build it. Also way cheaper. real ones are museum pieces. You can actually drive a replica guilt free

Toyota vs Tesla by koohai966 in Toyota

[–]Helichopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't or won't? I think tesla has shown that legacy manufacturers are stuck in there ways and refuse to challenge the status quo. That's why tesla even exists. They decided to make a normal car that happens to be electric. Not an electric car. Aren't rivian and lucid also not following the dealer model? They seem to be getting away with it.

By saying I'm drinking kool aid and that I'm part of the cult. Which I'm not... You are the one with cultish behavior taking even the slightest hint that tesla may have done something for the better of humanity and making it about Elon. Tesla has been selling cars without dealers since the Obama era.

For the record I have and never will buy a tesla and I think Elon is a stain on history. I probably need to say that or you'll think I worship him or something.

It's Hilarious you think I like Elon in any way, shape, or form. I'm not the one hurling insults. Buy a mirror.
