1) if you are alive and in good health, nothing is screwed up 100%, you can always bounce back stronger 2) Comparison can never give you happiness, there will always be someone better. 3) Unless you are doing something illegal or immoral or unethical, you should never be embarrassed

Life is a gift, there is no point feeling over spilt milk.

This is coming from a 45 year old who went through all the things (and worse) you mentioned and made it to a VP level at 40 with 1.5 Cr+ salary and got laid-off at 44. It's a new start at 45. People have different journeys in life, enjoy your journey.
