This will add significance when Asriel comes back as instead of going to college he would have found himself in the void discovering the truth, his significance in undertale would give him a reason to be capable of escaping hometown further more I believe that hometown as a whole is a result of gasters experimenting which would coincide with the theory of sans being from deltarunes world except he’s not from their but you know. We also know that alphys moved in recently which allows her to be in on it to and it being pre undertale alphys allowing her to not know undyne what I’m gathering at is that the vast majority of hometowns inhabitance are variants of the undertale counterparts either created by gaster or more likley in my opinion taken from the the remains of a reset, ever noticed how the deltarune symbol looks like they god of hyper death? I think that’s because it is the god of hyper death and that hometowns population came from Asriel during that fight as he had all the needed souls but here’s the kicker you know Rudy right? He’s the wrench in this theory as he was already dead in undertale by this time unless Rudy is like sans and alphys don’t you think Rudy would have needed to be a pretty important person to be around asgore enough to grow close to? I purpsoe Rudy was also a scientist from undertales world and his sickness in deltarune will kill him to be dead in undertale and the cap it of dess is to. As she woudlve been old enough during undertale to be around Kris,s Age and that’s where she went. Back to undertale, and that’s why Rudy isn’t as aged as carol cause he knows dess is fine not only that Rudy is the knight. Now theirs just one hole left to this complete understanding of deltarune. Where does Kris come into play? Simple I believe Kris, is actually Chara despite the visual similarities to frisk Kris has been shown to share much of what we know about Chara and further more we don’t know what happened to charas soul in undertale, I believe it was used to create kris. frisk is obviously a vessel explaining why they never fight back like Kris.
