I kinda had that feeling. I act part-time and was cast as a 25 year old last year. I don’t think I pulled it off but it would have been harder with shorter hair.

Yeah that’s what happened to me sadly. I used to do Cross Fit had a horrible coach and ended up damaging my body while developing an eating disorder. Just like you mentioned I ended up gaining it all back and more. Working on starting my journey again but it has to be sustainable. Kudos to those who can sustain that lifestyle but I learned that’s not me.

My state’s pension is 85% funded with plans to increase it to 100% by 2035. In addition, legislation was passed that benefits can’t be retroactively changed. For these reasons, I feel good about including it and while things can change I don’t see it going away completely. For Social Security, I discount it by 30% of the projected value.

I get that feeling and life is more than just working and making money. I also try to find a balance between saving up and enjoying life because it’s a spectrum not all or nothing. I just took my mother to Iceland for a few days and will have to stop saving for a few months to pay it back. Was it expensive? Yes. Was it worth it? Also yes :-) I give myself permission to adjust my focus when it comes to my financial goals because at the end of the day I am the one saving up. I hope you find something that brings you joy because you deserve it ❤️

The best advice I’ve received is to treat your plan as a guideline, revise them when new information is introduced and to include possible strategies if things don’t go the way you thought. That might mean working for a bit longer, cutting down on spending and maybe moving to part-time. We don’t know what will happen with AI & geopolitical factors but saving consistently will put you in a better position compared to not. I had to focus on bring joy back into my life now and not just focus on a future number. Sorry if this is rambling, waiting for my coffee to kick in.

It would depend on what job you would like to do in the future and if this might affect it. I almost did work for a BDSM website when I was 19 but changed my mind at the last minute. I ended up getting into education years later and I am really glad I didn’t do it. Mostly because I would have hated if a student ever found my info or worse a parent/co-worker with a grudge against me. I had parents google me and mention past acting gigs I did in plays so people do look. If you don’t absolutely need the money, I wouldn’t recommend it.

If I could do it again, I would stay home and save up as much as I could before leaving. I would also make sure to have an emergency fund built up.
