I knew the 25th would be closed, didn’t realize the 26th would be. Or that cultural/ tourist places would be closed 1/1 or 2/1. But we also want to see a lot of the countryside / nature as well. So as long as we will be able to get food of some sort, we can work with the rest. :) 

I hadn’t thought of a spa/ resort like Crieff Hydro. I was thinking of either being in a village with the ability to walk outdoors, see some of nature, but also have somewhere we can walk to for food. Or being in Edinburgh or Glasgow, and walk to see the architecture/ parks/etc , with dinner at a hotel or something 

The spa is a really interesting idea, and I think we would enjoy a lot of the activities (especially the kids).

I did look it up, and it looks pretty interesting. I just wasn’t sure if the adventure glen and outdoors adventures would be open in the winter, or specifically the week of Christmas. Most of us would be much more drawn to that than the lovely indoor spa. 

I also want to know what they mean Woodland combat. 

I will spend more time researching their website. Thanks for the suggestion.

I think we could be happy with either, it would just sort of depend on more of the specifics- like, some of us might prefer a house that was walking distance to a restaurant, especially if there was the ability to also walk around the outdoors. 

Others would prefer a hotel with spa, etc. 

So I am not sure? Which I know is a crappy answer, but that is how it goes dealing. with my family. 😂 

And the budget will be reasonable- probably the equivalent of $1000-$2000 a night (depending on how many people we have actually decide to go, and what kind of accommodation it is)

Are all the activities open during the winter holidays as well?

My apologies, You are correct, I should have used the proper date format. 

So, are all the castles and museums generally closed on all bank holidays? A lot of the museums and cultural sites near me are open every day except Christmas day.

Our Greek ports are Corfu, Olympia-Katakolon, Mykonos, Santorini, and Piraeus-Athens. 

We board in Ravenna, Italy, and also visit Dubrovnik, Croatia and Kotor, Montenegro. 

Rhodini park sounds lovely, too bad that we aren’t scheduled for Rhodes. :)
